| A decision I made a few months ago was to eventually get a newer car and ditch the Riv. It's been a good run - I've owned the Riv since I was 14, have enjoyed being a member of this forum and have (mostly) loved being a Riv owner for so long. Well, yesterday, the decision I made a few months ago finally became reality. I bought a 2009 Hyundai Genesis 4.6 with under 19k miles for a damn good price. The deal was too good to pass up - it was kept in a climate-controlled warehouse while up for sale, was previously owned by an older man who never took it out in the rain, and is practically flawless. In the meantime, I put the Riv up for sale today. A guy across the street walked over to take a look at it an hour after I put "For Sale" signs in the windows. One hour after looking it over and driving it a bit, he agreed to buy it. Is that a world record? Here's a couple pics: I'll officially be selling the Riv next Saturday if all goes to plan. If the deal falls through, I'll offer it for sale on the forum here, which is what I planned to do a little while ago. Sorry guys! Thanks for a great experience here. My dad still owns his '95 and doesn't plan on getting rid of it, so I/he might be lurking around from time to time. Regardless, the new owner is buying the car for his grandson, and I'll direct the kid to this forum when he buys it. He'll definitely be in good hands Riv on! | |

| In his defense, the Genesis 4.6 is a pretty sweet car. It's about the only Hyundai I'd consider driving. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |
