| Looks straight and tight in Pearl White, Bjorn, although it also seems to be missing some insignia. Is that on purpose?

| Also something you may not have known:
When you are putting the emblems on the car, before you remove the backing off of the emblems, put a piece of tape such as painters' removable masking tape over the CHROME side of the emblem. it is *way* easier to get it in the right position and the R stays in the correct location compared to the rest of the emblem. Make sure the tape just adheres to the chrome letters and not the backing, and overlap the ends a bit past the lettering. Then you can just hold the tape by the ends, remove the backing and position the emblems. Once you have positioned the emblem, press firmly to set them, then carefully remove the masking tape.
Correct position is:
on the drivers side, bottom left of the 'R' is 83 mm to the right of the ront edge of the quarter panel, and 19 mm above the top edge of the side molding. The low part of the tail of the cursive 'a' is 24 mm aboue the top edge of the molding.
On the passenger side, the low part of the tail of the cursive 'a' is 24 mm above the top edge of the molding and the end of the tail is 83 mm to the right of the front edge of the quarter panel. The bottom left of the 'R' is again 19 mm above the top edge of the molding.
Part number for the 'Riviera' emblem is 25556970. $15.59 each plus shippping from www.gmpartsdirect.com.
If you need the 'SUPERCHARGED' emblem for the trunk, it is 25602037. $17.06 plus shipping, same source. Bottom of emblem goes 15 mm above the bottom edge of the boot (trunk) lid; right of emblem is 29 mm to the left of passenger-side (right side as you face it from the rear of the car looking forward) edge of lid.

| nice! don't lose any sleep over the stupid side lettering. who gives a $hit. I would change the front grill too to get rid of the dumb looking R.
I would do dark windows tinting to complete the looks. I notice it dosen't have the pipestripping either, I would need to see one with them side by side to make up my mind...
it must be so cool to drive around in a car so unique. is it supercharged? | |
