stock tips - side exhaust

what are the stock tips made off. and what is the inlet on them. i want to use them on my side exhaust till i can get some new ones. if you just read that . you know its true im going with the side exit exhaust

FWIW when the Viper came out with side exhausts people were complaining about it because it sounded like a 5 cylinder from the driver's seat. So maybe you'll get the joyous sound of a 1.9 L 3 cylinder.

edit - what am I thinking, the Riv doesn't have a true dual exhaust so sound won't be a problem. Clearance, on the other hand, with the Eibach springs, could be a different story!

i plan on getting the magnaflow once i get more money, this swap put a crater in my back account

I'm sure the stock tips are stainless just like the stock pipes. They don't look like it after 10 years, but they're cheap automotive-grade stainless.

i dont know enough about metal to tell you what grade steel, but i'm pretty sure that is what it is.
have you talked with rivman yet? he had a 95 swaped with a l67 and side exhaust. i'm sure he can help you out alot with fitment.

they are 409 SS

Jason is correct, that's the same grade as my Hogan DP.

ok thanks guys i will clean them up then, and no i have not talked to rivman recently,

and post pics when done! I've also been thinking of side exaust when I re-do mine and would like to see how it ends up.
