| I would get a 4 channel amp and send some clean, crisp, power to those speakers. You could also get an EQ unit to tweak the sound a little if you want it to sound really good. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| I've done a similar upgrade, and I also know it could sound better...
I've decided to get a 4 channel amp to power the main speakers before I get any type of subwoofer.

| Okay,
I want an Infinity amp..but they are 250 for a 4channel...
What's a good amp under 175??
So i can just hook the wires up to the head unit w/ a wiring harness??
It can't be too hard because the battery is under the seat...
When i go to the speakers do i have to solder??
I'm new to this kind of stuff.

| $250? Not on Amazon. You can get a refurbished 4 channel, 111 watts RMS amp for about $150 after shipping HERE, or a new 4 channel, 75 watts RMS amp for less than $150 HERE. | |

I'm new to this kind of stuff. with amps you get what you pay for. but I got a $100 4-ch amp from pepboys running 50wts RMS to my front and rear speakers. Sounds great for a cheap amp and speakers (jenson and audio lightening speakers ) You dont have to solder anything, if you dont want. You can use the crimp on slip connectors. Probably better to solder though, the connectors sometimes slip off.

| If you crimp them correctly, then give them a good tug - there's no way those connectors are coming off. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| Honestly, I think that''s a waste of money. Get yourself an amplifier with speaker level inputs or get a set of line level converters if you want to keep your factory head unit.
