| Well i went back to the salvage yard to get that supercharger off of that regal, and it was in fact an M90. So i decided im going to clean and rebuild it myself. What would be the best way to do that?because i heard that all they do to rebuil them is replace the bearings. Is that true?
Thanks, Bryan | |

| you probably just need to replace the couper....but if you have it apart, a bearing change can never hurt...
look at the rotors to make sure the lining is still intact...and you might as well get it ported & polished...
is it an Gen III or a Gen V?

| yes.....steal one...
just not mine....
I think if you just replace the coupler you'll be fine....these things are built to last. That a good cleaning and an SC oil change and you should be sitting good....
what's wrong with your current SC??

| Any idea how many miles on that SC? Bearings have a very long life. I'd bet a new green coupler from ZZP and new fluid will suffice. You're reselling this, right? | |

| yep im selling it thats why i dont want to spend a whole lot on this rebuild so maybe just a coupler would work. I did get a great break on the price because the guys at the salvage yard didnt have a supercharger price in their database, so they charged me the price of an intake manifold, so i got a M90 Gen III supercharger with the throttle body and intake tube for 45 bucks!

| no idea but a rebuilt M90 Gen III should be okay right. Well heres my new gameplan. The supercharger is in really good shape, but needs cleaned up so im going to spray it with some carb cleaner. clear off any excess grease, and spray it again. Then i am going to buy a ZZP green coupler and replace the coupler. Sound good? Oh and about how many miles do bearings last in a supercharger? | |
