series 1 idler Empty
PostSubject: series 1 idler   series 1 idler EmptyThu Aug 07, 2008 12:14 pm

Got a quick question about changing the idler pulleys on the series one SC. The Idler pulley set, with 2 pullies on the bar, outside one is smooth, the inside is grooved; what direction is that thread?

Note: this sucker is very diff from the series 2..

And I've answered my own question:

Upper and lower tensioner pulleys: regular thread

Idler puller set(2 pulley set, grooved and smooth): Regular thread

You'll know if you get the arrangement of pullies, spacers and washers right by turning it by hand before tensioning and starting it up. I had a buddy mess up the order..

That belt and pulley lasted all of 5 seconds.
