| I'm thinking about buying some aftermarket chrome rims. I was wondering how peoples aftermarket rims were holding up especially if you live in the NE where there is snow and salt. I don't want to put them on and have them look bad after only one winter. I'm thinking about these because they look something like the factory wheels with some extra flair plus they hide the brakes because I don't plan on doing any bling under there. 17's should get rid of a little of the tire sidewall but still keep the good ride. These aren't too expensive but hopefully they will hold up to a few winters: | |

| I'd keep the stock rims/tires and run them in the winter, not the chromes. jmho | |

| That is not a bad idea but the problem is I need some new tires for the car and I'm trying to get away from spending $450 now for tires and then next Spring spending $1300 more. | |

| You shouldn't have any problem with running 17" rims in the Winter. Once you get 19" and over you might although I ran my 20" last winter with minimal problems. Just give them a good polishing before the season and keep them rinsed down occasionally. Painted and/or powder coated rims would suffer more from the salt. | |

| I like them. I was considering something like this but eventually decided to just go from the OEM 12 spoke silver to the OEM 7 spoke chrome. | |
