You can tune your 96 with a DHP Pwer Tuner. The conversion to a 97 is straight forward. The wiring is identical except the 4T65 had 5 more wires between the trans and pcm. | |

| Every supercharged car got an HD trans. HD does not mean or stand 4t65, it stands for Heavy Duty, which in reality the only extra heavy duty thing about it is the differential.
