| I easily recognize the clips on the left and the right, and are available to me. Anyone recognize the one in the middle.? Where do they go, so I can find a part number or are they readily available at the Auto Parts stores also. I've just never looked for that type clip. | |

| The one in the middle - I recognize it, I recently had to replace those myself. Those hold the lower plastic protective pieces on the bottom edge of the door. I found them in a clip assortment at AutoZone, had to buy the assortment of 15 clips and throw the others away to get 3 of them...
BTW most of those panels come off by pushing the trim towards the front or back, not just prying up.
The last ones - I broke a few of those too and couldn't find new ones, so my lower window trim pieces are missing one or two.
The first and last from your picture of 3 are available at most stores, NAPA etc around here. They are pretty common GM retainers.

| I know how you feel. I got started with this bodywork I'm doing because it was rusting about the middle trim piece, turned out it was held in place by caulk. I don't know what they call it in finland but it's the stuff used to seal bathroom sinks and corners of tiles and the like. | |

On last picture: need 12 of the clips on rightside 16 clips in midle and 10-20 on the right. Timo, Please clarify quantity's needed. You have said right side twice above. Also, even though I recognize two of the fasteners in the pic's, they do make small and large sizes of these. Tell me where they came from or.... Can you use that booklet i mailed you with all the OEM illustrations and P/N's to find these and tell me where in that booklet they are and the OEM P/N's. It would help a lot that way. I can still get them at places other than the dealer but need to know a little more.

| uhhh toght i did the post before but the riv website lagged again...anyways. Rick i checked your list before. it did not have the small clips but Derek explained good from where they go. need 16 of them. those big ones connect whit bumpers and other plastic parts under car. the list had them there tho. and would be nice to get 10-20 of them. the ones on left of the picture belong to the sideskirts. will need 12 of them. also need 8 clips what hold the rear side window chroom trimm in place. the flat ones from my last picture. | |

| Note: The below prices are from www.Monsterpartsonline.com (GM OEM Parts) Fasteners:
P/N 16615003 = $1.06 each (qty 16 = $16.97 + shipping) P/N 11561878 = $0.56 each (qty 14 = $7.84 + shipping) P/N 20510029 = $2.09 each (qty 20 = $41.80 + shipping) P/N 25612014 = $1.20 each (qty 8 = $9.60 + shipping)
As you can see the cost for 58 fasteners will add up quick. ($76.21 + shipping)
I will look at NAPA and other stores to see how much they charge.

OK, I've added the oil to the list and I have an extra tube of the proper sealant you need to use on the SC snout when you re-assemble it. This is the stuff recommended by GM. You can have it, I'll put it in the box with everything else. I also have rear brake caliper hoses for you that I will include with everything else. I checked P/N's and they are the same for a 98 to 96, so they should work fine. I had bought these new and installed them, then about 3,000 miles later I removed them, to install stainless braided hoses. I know you need new hoses, so these should be good for a long time.

| Timo, I can get these locally for $0.50 each, so 20 will cost only $10.00 instead of $40.00 + from GM. Retainer, cover R/L 20510029 (The large Black ones)
I looked in the catalog that my local NAPA Auto Parts store has for all these fasteners and could not find the P/N's listed for the other clips, but the pictures in the book show some that look the same. We need to find out if GM changed the P/N's (superseded) on any of the others so I can cross reference them. If not, then I can only get them from GM (monsterpartsonline) at the prices already mentioned. If someone has access to GM numbers and can tell me if any of the above fastener numbers have been superseded it will be greatly appreciated. Otherwise, maybe tomorrow I will go to my local Cadillac dealer and see if they can help.

| okay today was suposed to paint the car but uno was a bit busy whit other project. So i just had some more time to get it more smoother. anyways cos the shop did not have that kind pearl green what i wanted i had to choose one metallic green what looked close to the color i had. its called Bermuda Green (GM paint) and to make it look more special buyed small green flakes what will go on whit the gloss layers. | |

| That paint looks very "Bright" or "Loud" in that cup. I thought you were going to use a paint that was a bit less bright. Similar to your current color. I know you said you couldn't get the pearl you wanted but that color just doesn't seem right for a Riviera. After it is sprayed on will it look a little different than that or is that what the final paint job will look like.?? | |

| OH, that's much better looking. The other color looked like the Riv would be a pimp mobile. If you know what i mean. Also, check your mailbox for a PM. | |

| yeh...and like i sayed i like things look more factory...a riv is more a Luxury car not a damn christmas tree. just makes me sad when someone has painted it pink/orange or somethign odd..and but 24''+++ wheels under it. if you want a truck then get one...dont build one of a Riv...
it just needs small changes but same time keeping the factory lines and it can be perfect. but anyways...people are diferent and beauty is only in the watchers eyes...
