| Snowdog,
I haven't been on here in a while, but when I was here last, you were pulling the dash apart and cleaning the insides and the electronics. You have come so far in only a few months! Even your english is better! I'm excited for you and inspired by you. Please keep up the great work on this beautiful car. I personally love all the cool stuff you're putting in the interior!

| In this latest picture of your car it looks like you painted the lower side trim the color of your car. Did you or is it just the photo? | |

the last owner had it allready painted car color. one day i sanded off the rear lips paint and found out that it had been same color as the car tho but guess the last owner did not like it and painted again same color as the stock lip looked like. on pictures it may look perfect but in reality ther are alot of scratches everywhere and paint pealing off from some places:( when i have all the other things done like change front left, rear left wheel bearing, fix the steering(guess bushings are soft or something had allready replaces inner and outer tierods and front rootors bads) still vibrates a bit when brake or turn. then need to take off the antenna. it broke in winter:( replaces a interjor antenna and when im going to paint the car will seal remove the antenna hole. some days ago replaced the battery what the last owner told was 'new'....hell it was! got now one 80A battery. today buted even one extra cround wire and thicker wires for amp/sub. guess i have to start thinking about rebuilding transmission. it has started to strake sometimes....will not shift down on fast accelarating and on hills starts to vibrate and so on... engine leaks a bit cooltant and oil from some places. looks like im going to take the engine off one day and replace all engines seals and gaskets. can then clean it and paint the whole engine. good time to build custom stainless headers tho. and good time to port polish heads and sc Found one guy from estonia who will make me all cars bushings of polyuretan. even engine mounts well so many plans whit it. Got the time atm but a bit short on monney. buyed some parts again this month from usa and rick is helping me whit shiping.

| Okay all done now...started on 5:30pm and finished 7:30pm 1st changed the rear wheel bearing...was very easy.. - Spoiler:
After change started car and OMG ABS traction controll lights went off! thees lights had been on since i buyed the car 10months ago... Next was the T-stat just 2 polts off...10mm the old one was very dirty...guess that the russians fingers had even been there..cos the t-stat litle hole was stuck.. cleaned the connections..whit sandpaper till they where smooth...i did not have the other gasket..so i used that special engine gasket silicone or how ever its called.. and ohh when i tested for leaks..i accidently found leaking vacum lines..the line what comes from SC to transmission had cracks in it..replaced one part..and instected then the whole line...found out it had been cracked in all connections and leaked....now i know why the car sputtered on accelaration...on uphill driving and so on..later on way home truyed and the transmission sifted sharper then ever before.. - Spoiler:
after that was turn for sparkplugs wires its a very annoying job as anyone knows...it relly sucks to change the plugs in cylinder 2 4 and 6 but anyways did it...and later buted those nice fat sexy new sparkplug wires on lol... and cone for a test drive...drived the car 3 times till speed limiter lol...and WOW...all the tings i did today relly made a big diference...runs smoother...accelarates sharper/...shifts better(fixed vacum lines)...just feeled very diferent...did not expect that much but im happy for now hehe soon going to change front left bearing..and uno relly relly wants to paint my car ower..but well will see when i will do that

| Timo, You didn't need the flat gasket or silicone sealer on the thermostat housing. All you need is the round o-ring like gasket. That's all it takes to seal it up if you have everything scraped clean. Just so you know for next time. I would have sent it to you if you needed it. Engine looks good. Glad to hear you fixed the transmission troubles with some vacuum line. The new plugs and wires must have made a difference as well. Nice job. | |

| Yes, some / most clips are available through GM and the aftermarket here. The clips that hold the front fender trim are hard to get from what I've been told, other than that I think everything else is available. Post pic's of what you need and how many and I'll get them for you if I can and will ship with other parts you need. Also, do have a need for a new power steering pulley puller and installer tool kit. I have an extra new one in plastic case I will give you and ship with everything else if you want it. Also I can get you some regular black vacuum line / hoses in different sizes if you want to change out the yellow stuff. I'll get several feet of each size and include it in the boxes i send you, let me know. OK, Rick | |
