| The plate is required in his country. It's not like its some "mod"...the car, is gorgeous. Good to see it out from under the white shit I'm not sure where to get an A/C compressor cheaply for you man. Isn't there an online company that will ship to you? | |

| the register plates have changed since i live in Finland now, and yep they are huge and ugly.. Rockauto asks 271$ whit shipping for the A/C compressor. guess i have to take it from there then, also Toll tax will come on it. those are the bad thing about owning a USA car in europe | |

| Those wheels look really good on the car too. I think what Charlie was getting at is that it would be the perfect calendar photo if the plate were gone, not that the car would be perfect without the plate per se So maybe some photo-chopping or retake the photo with the plate off? Great pictures! | |

| Snowdog, could you share info on your wheels (brand, size, etc.). Your Riviera looks great.

| Look at his signature. They are Tomson TN1 18'' rims. Unless you want his tire specs too. | |

If it's just the clutch and not the compressor, the clutch can be replaced while it's still on the car IIRC.

| i think it's the main seal and bearing on the A/C compressor what leaked, the problem was that the freon did not stay so long in it. | |

I understand. When these AC systems are used, they work fine. If they sit unused for a while the refrigerant leaks out quickly.

| Last time I talked to him he told me he had to sell the car.
It became too expensive to maintain over there. Estonia and Finland area.

| well hi guys/girls. yes Rickw is right. I sold/swapped my car (For an Mercedes Benz Sprinter ) I moved to a bigger city in Finland, so i did not have any space for the Riv and also cos i moved i had to change my work. I did not get a work car so i needed to get a car what is easy/cheap to maintain, low taxes (finland has CRAZY car tax and emision tax) also needed to be more practical, have more space cos i ride mountainbikes.
So the only option i had was to sell it and get a van.
I have seen the Riv still driving. The guy (age 65) who buyed it was a car collector who had 2 older Rivs, Mercedeses, Fords and other old cars made before 1970. He uses my riv as dayly ride.
He did not even test drive it before he handed the monney over. i got 8000€ for it. So that all happened 2 years ago.
