| Finally got the new cradle sprayed. Good thing because mine right now is definitely getting more noisy during turns with any speed. It's a very uncomfortable sound. 1k primer already done laying the jet black - went through two quarts of paint I wasn't sure what to do about clear. I just decided against it. I have a virtually unlimited supply of undercoating I also considered but paint is definitely not my expertise. Any Ideas? | |

| I would probably throw some UC on there if you have such easy access to it. I have a feeling it's one of those 'throw everything in the book at it' things where the more you get on it, the more it might help. But they rot from the inside out, so if you haven't been able to spray the insides with something, all you spray on the outside may make no difference in the long run... | |

| The block-off plate's totally done. Thanks to Andrew, Terry, and myself. It's the smallest things that need the most attention sometimes. I hope that today, I'll get the plate glued in and the vent cavities filled and smoothed against the case rotor bores. Then I'll probably wait for the JB weld to cure and reassemble the blower. I have some extra eaton bearing grease, the GM anaerobic sealer, and new oil ready to go. EDIT: all done! Only problem is the f**king tube of GM anaerobic sealer busted shortly after I started using it so I had to go run and find some scrap wood and a clamp to hold the end seam of the tube shut. I'm also done with the lower intake other than cutting out the one coolant passage. I need to come up with some efficient way of doing that now.

| Great stuff Codith, The blower and LIM look sweet, so I'm guessin' that the plate funnels the air in more efficiently, creating more power, but what is the HP gain? Also, where did you get the cradle, looks fantastic, any chance of you taking some pics of the installation? | |

The plate is just something to hold the JBweld fillings for the silencing vents secure. You'd think by eliminating an intentional boost leak between the blower and intake manifold which is kinda what the vents are, you'd gain efficiency but not really. Doesn't hurt though. Cradle came out of a low mile '98 Aurora in TX and I then stripped, primered, painted, and undercoated it. I promised to take pics of the install which, by the way, is going to be very interesting now that my buddy with the shop got laid off and I'll be doing it all in my garage, possibly between tomorrow and Tuesday.

| GM racing torsen limited slip differential with all the upgrades Single largest purchase yet for this car. This should be a great enhancement to the overall driving experience and performance - no more one-tire b.s. It should be getting installed in the next month or so. | |

| Hey turtleman: I'm a litttle cornfused here...Is this the same car you have in your signature line and if so, where are the stripes on your front fenders? I always admired them as a nice touch...much better than the fake portholes so often seen on these cars.

| The older pictures were from before I added the poison stripes and maybe some of the newer ones may be without stripes. I know I removed them and re-applied them later in a slightly different position. Anyway yeah, only one car. | |

| $1400 - Not terrible considering it's a priceless part at this point and the last bill for it was $1850 from dynotech. One of my favorite things about this one is I don't have to do anything with it but put it in. I didn't really want to buy it right now but I can't really count on one of these coming along later. | |

The 4T60 and 65E-HD have the same carriers so I think it could be fitted. I wanna say the axle splines and the spider gears need to be switched along with HD axles. It can be done but consult someone who knows their shit because I haven't researched much on that.

It's supposed to be like a 1-2 hour job so I wanna say yes, at least on a w-body. I assume the install would be the same deal on a riv. I'm not doing it though. I'd prefer not to learn how to do this for the first time right now seeing as the stakes in cost are pretty high. I'm going to bring it to Paul.

| I've decided the smart thing to do with the perpetually rising gas prices is to convert the car to N/A. So I drove down to Danville, IL and picked up this beauty out of a 2006 Lacrosse with 79,330 mi on it for a very reasonable price. | |
