$165 for tint??? Ugh...

How much did you guys pay? This guy was supposed to be one of the cheapest in the area. He did my buddy's F-150 for $65. Why is it $100 more dollars for a car?!?

The back window is deep and most guys don't pay attention to the shaded area around the edges of the back window. In addition, there are lines at the top of the back window as well. This has to have special attention paid to it. I think the tint has to be put on the outside of the window first, hit with a blow dryer to form it, and then brought in to the car for application. When I had my 96 two years ago, I had a quote of $100 for everything from a very reputable guy. I'm not sure, maybe the prices went up. I would shop around a little and ask some people who have tint on their cars where they went and how much they spent.

he may be charging you more for illegal tint, extra for windshield, higher quality tint, etc.
that seems high for the "lowest in town". there are place around here that will tint for $65-$100, but i wouldnt let them touch my car.

Mine was $140 too but a buddy went to Ziebart today for his Cavy and they quoted him $225.

I noticed that the prices for tinting my cars were cheaper down south (when I lived there) probably due to more competition and generally more customers.
I think i paid over $200.00 here, with lifetime warranty.

The shops around here that have a good reputation want $200 to tint my car. Other shops around here have a lot of complaints about peeling/bubbling down the road. But being in new england, I have no need for tinted windows.

In FL tinting is cheap and good. They all seem to know what they are doing down there...
