GTX build

what are you doing with that rust? Cut and replace? fill over with 'glass?

i made molds to make fiberglass ones. and yes im going to use then. cut out all of the rust. sand blast get everything clean. then glass it. there like 6 layers of fiber glass so there very strong

Thanks to slmjym350 for buying my parts, the project moves one

well i got one rocker panel done.so much work to build parts from nothing. i swear i will never do this again. i will just get new panels made from sheet metal

I like looking at other peoples mods and body work. I get alot of ideas from you guys. so having a different car in its own thread is ok with me.

Bumper is just about half way done. today it was just to damn hot to be sanding this by hand.for those wondering why i don't use a 6" DA. because it wont make it flat. a DA goes in a oval pattern. so i have to go by hand, 80 grit, then 120, then 180, then 220, then 400. its so much fun :? Also i wont be able to use a SD lip like a planed, as the car will be too low. and it would just get ripped off with the 315 potholes. but i want slammed so i guess i will need to suffer, by saving 300 bucks and 4 hours of molding.

Its not done yet, i know.




I still need to trim some of my extra material off the lower part





Don't worry it will be filled in with a massive intercooler. which will be here next week some time. so i can see how much i need to mod the bumper even more

it'll be sad when you scrape the nose pulling into some high parking lot and bust up the bottom of that bumper you put so much time into. Or worse you might bang up the IC exchanger. Looks good now though! Keep at it!

stock, with OEM type material. its pretty flexible. the car wont be a DD so im not going to sweat it
