1996 Riviera (Updated 2/4/10 on page 4 & 5)

you even aligned your spark plug wires, OCD are we? j/k it's little things like that that make them look good.

Matthew, I used to have my scanner plugged in 24-7. What I did was remove the OBDII port from the lower dash panel and plug it into the scanner box inside the dash, then run the wire over to the center console and down to beside the seat. The cord came up beside me near the seatbelt buckle. Just an idea if you want to permanently install your scanner. That way you never see any wires!

I had to remove that set-up after I got the PowrTuner because they use different boxes. Now it's back to plugging in.

thanx for the sugestion Aaron, i tried duct taping the wire under the dash but it kept falling down with the summer heat i hate telling guests to be careful where they step b/c of the box and wires :/

That would be pretty cool . Maybe someone should come up with that and patten it make some profit.

Would be a lot safer to have in the car.

Man...I like that wooden dash...gonna have to get me one...Very nice ride...like the contrast with the STB too...Spent some time in that engine compartment ...huh?? Looks good!

Did you have the wheels chromed.

no the chrome wheels were a dealer/factory job and it was done before i got the car.

okay, I need a new keyboard now. Seems drool (even imaginary) will short one out. All the cars here are gorgeous, but so far, this is my top pick for my personal cyber car show.

Great looking Riv. It's a lot like mine. The tips look like mine too,but mine are light up LED's . My brother has an exhaust shop and can get all kinds of stuff...

Just a heads up, they must be making the tips again. I got the same tip in black chrome off of eBay, he realized how popular they were and raised the price from $25 to $35 after he sold out of the first bunch he offered in just a couple of days.
They are for the black '95, when I get it painted and put them on I'll get some pics up.

That is one good lookin' pearl white 96. It looks really good. I like it.

That looks "GOOD"!!...The dark tint windows on that Pearl White really sets the color off...plus the chrome OEM rims really add to it. Clean car...you've really done a good job with it.

im a lil late, but wow! what do u use to clean ur woodgrain?

clean? its never really been dirty, but you can treat it like paint.
use a mild cleaner like window spray w/out ammonia (the window stuff for tinted windows works for me)

if its really full of grime you can use a clay bar and the suplied spray to clean and smoth the surface.
then i put wax on the wood. dont put wax on a real wood dash or any dash that is cracked but it works fine for ours. be careful not to get any on the vinyl or plastic, and you dont need to let it sit for long before buffing it off. i have used both carnuba's and synthetics on it and i like the syntheics better b/c it adds more shine and is always clear.

i know wax on the dash sounds funny, but think about it. its just a thick layer of resin hardened over wood. the wax will work the same as it does on clear coats and it will protect it from uv rays

***never use heavy cleaner, rain-x, or spray anything directly on the wood dash*** some things can and will make it discolor, so spot test if you are unsure...that is all

i see damaged dashes all day long and the old BMW's with the real wood are dry, faded, and cracked, no thanks

nice job, car is lookin extra clean...white is a funny color, it can look dule in certain light, and if the sun hits it just like, it gleams...tight work mane

so i went out today after the rain and took some pictures. i just waxed it but you cant tell b/c like i said...it just rained

i pictured this one differently in my head. btw i was standing on the ledge on the 4th floor of the parking garage, in sandals, trying to take a picture, with lightening in the background. (too bad i couldn't capture that!)

rolling shots are a huge deal in the euro car scene, i only wish my car was lower and we were moving faster. (we were going between 35 and 45 in these shots) tomorrow i am going out again and i plan on taking a video of me passing him s/c screaming all the way
