FAQ: Rims, Wheels that Look Good on the Riv

i like these ones a lot...



i like them cuz its stylish yet not a huge FLARE..theyre not goin to take too much away from the car..prolly not too hard to clean..and they cover the calipers and brakes mostly..

Save the first ones for your 80's Caprice lowrider. the 2nd ones are better. They might even look good, but it's hard to tell without a pchop.

personaly i dont like either option. an 8 or 12 spoke design in chrome would look good IMO, but i like the look of my calipers and rotors, it's the details that set a car off. like a little bit of red behind the chrome and some performance parts in the background
maybe its just me but when i look for rims for my riv i look at cars with similar design (like jag XK and aston martin DB's) and see what rims they have. i look for something that looks as if it could have been factory, nothing too flashy or distracting from the rest of the car.

Open rims are cool just make sure you've got nice brake hardware to show off.

I think most rims are junk for just that reason. There are too many crazy overworked designs out there which are all bling and no class.

a bit too garrish for the clean line of the car, but that is just one biased opinion.

Those spoke wheels are a real 6!†h to clean..........

I went with these from Tire Rack last year when I couldn't hold air in 3 of 4 of factory rims even with GM recommended procedure to seal them.

$87.00 each and no problems since. Stayed with 16". I wanted to stay car wash friendly with a taller 16" tire too.

I like those. A nice sporting look, and it fixes the problem without breaking the bank... and you keep your old tires. Sweet deal!

I have KMC Gnome rims on my Riv, not sure if you can still get them or not since they were put on the car back in '99. I don't think you can go wrong with a nice 5 spoke on Rivieras. My Riv looks a million times better with these rims than it does with the factory rims.

They look good on there Luke.

My opinion:

Now that black on black Riv looks sinister as hell. I love the blacked out grille also.

For me, since my car is black, defiantly have to go with something black that resembles BBS rims. and hopefully light for a 19"-20" rim.

That's just sick! meaning very cool looking. Darh Vader's Riv.

Need to get the windows tinted then it will be vader's Riv.

I'll get the windows tinted some day. I've been putting it off because I dunno if it'll look too good. Sometimes tint takes away from a good looking car.
