| Buapo, almost but not quite - the "replacement" is just a thin piece of mirror glass that you affix over the purple glass. You do not remove the purple glass.
Rick, how is the defrosting action through the glued on mirror?

| Working good so far. I got mine from an Ebay vendor for 19.95 w/free shipping. It is manufactured by Burco. EBay Vendor was: hubcaps_plus
+ another 5.00 for the adhesive. (Loctite Glass Glue)

| I wouldn't say "really hard", but yes, the plastic backing that the glass is mounted to pops off of the ball joints that attach it to the car. Do you have the FSM?
((By the way, thanks again for all those helpful PM's when I joined last Spring, Ben... As you can see from my sig, I've implemented them all, first with the 3.6" pulley, then a 3.5 last month.))

| Eldo - no problem, glad to help!
What does FSM mean?
I'm hoping that gluing the thin mirror to the broken passenger side mirror (read: cracked all over, but still all there) will work as well. My "purple" mirror is still fully intact, aside from the leaky fluid inside.

| FSM = Factory Shop Manual
If you don't have one, I can copy some of the instructions for removal/replacement of the mirror faces.
