started her up tonight, was going to get vid but noticed that the carb was on fire. turned it off and found that one of the holley clear window screws had blown out and was spraying gas all over the mani. singed a few wires as well. I'll get it cleaned up and throw a vid up tomorrow. it sounds like a v8 with no exhaust though, I could feel it in my chest.

Looks like your in business james! She sounds strong but I am sure that the video doesn't do the sound justice. So is it drivable or do you have more work than just the motor, looks like part of your dash is out.

I'd be more inclined to say that a part of my dash is 'in'. there's still lots of work left to be done, but rebuilding an engine was the one thing I'd never done before so I wanted to make sure it was right before proceeding.
the only portion of the brakes on the car currently is the pedal, there interior is gutted, and the body remains to be done. Pictures along the way.
thanks for the atta boy.

no, this is my first venture into body work. I'm a network engineer by trade... I'd probably be done by now if I had any indication of what I was doing.
