| New pics, I love the dash kit! Tell me though, how did you install the head unit? Did you blank the small spaces above and below? Have to cut anything behind it to make it fit? | |

Its just an after market adapter kit for DIN and a half size hole. Cheap, easy to find, relatively clean looking. [quote]deekster_caddy Sun Nov 29, 2009 10:18 am Nice looking car! Has it been repainted or is that the original stuff? Original paint, just pulled all the badges with exception to the R's. I plan on getting it painted next year but those are plans and we all know how that goes. The trunk is Dynamatted, stereo, woodgrain, rims/rubber, SC pulley, MSD 8.8 wires, and a K&N, just your typical minor stuff. I still need to get exhaust but I am putting it off til I swap to the series III... why do it twice right? | |

| For the life of me I cannot find any 1.5 to 1 DIN adapters. Remember where you got yours, and for how much? | |

| 1.5 to 1? Just from my local installer, I had figured they were easy to find but I guess I may have been mistaken. His shop stocks only the best in audio n such so maybe he has some special supplier or something. I will find out for you, and get you the manufacturer and the part # for it. | |

| I'd KILL for that interior color. I'm so jealous man. Looked for a black ext/dark gray interior Riv for over a year and settled on mine. Happy with what I've got but yours is pretty damn special. | |

| Thanx m8! I have heard alot about this being a rather rare color combination but really never paid any attention to it. I gotta say I can't see myself in any other color now. Everything just flowed so well together from the get go. Black ext. / the dark interior, then adding the piano black amps /black rims, and Titanium woodgrain, for awhile I was worried it would look to dark. But after it was said and done I couldn't be more pleased. | |

| Turtleman: I'll post some pics of the Jav in the spring time. I have it stored in a heated shop in Neerlandia about 20 miles from my home for $2 a square foot. Soon as I get the Riv back out of cold storage in my garage for the spring/summer I can stuff the Jav back in it. Then I'll take some pics. Sorry for the wait, I used to have a tonne of pics on my PC but it crashed and I lost every spec of data and had to buy a new tower. Jack the R: Yepperz 20's pretty sure you have to alter the suspension to run 22's but I could be wrong. If not it'll have 22's next time. Flyineagle96: Thanx! You to! This picture basically illistrates what my Javelin looks like in color. I have different rims and alot more chrome trim and what not, but this gives you a rough idea. http://images.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=http://www.musclecarcalendar.com/PicturePerfect/LonsJavelinSST/1972Javelin1.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.musclecarcalendar.com/PicturePerfect/LonsJavelinSST/LonsJavelin1.htm&usg=___Q_ykEM6-N696kflxmW4eH3GJ8c=&h=800&w=1200&sz=169&hl=en&start=3&tbnid=brE7IjA1KPpMXM:&tbnh=100&tbnw=150&prev=/images%3Fq%3D1972%2BJavelin%2BSST%26gbv%3D2%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DG Also thought this was kinda cool when I read about it in Hot Rod magazine. http://images.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ezewf41dE6I/SRIQoBPJoUI/AAAAAAAAYu8/us02ksJwX38/s400/AMC%2BConcept%2BCars%2BAmc%2BJavelin.jpg&imgrefurl=http://hotrod-polska.blogspot.com/2008/11/amc-concept-cars-wielki-powrot-amc.html&usg=__XkjqvGdNwvQyVvmdwFcSRkVS_1Q=&h=300&w=400&sz=22&hl=en&start=19&tbnid=_r9hunCdcIKeGM:&tbnh=93&tbnw=124&prev=/images%3Fq%3DAMC%2Bconcept%2Bcars%26gbv%3D2%26hl%3Den | |

| The 390 was imo AMC's best engine. They later changed it to the less impressive 401. the last year of the 390 was 1970 unfortunately for me, but I am pleased I have the 360 and not the 401. I plan on stroking it to a 406, but I am still figuring out if its 100% possible with the AMC 360. But I am positive it is, its the same block as every other post 1970 V8 AMC made including the 401. | |
