First of all WOOD coils could be dangerous when you light them on fire.
And to answer your other questions, No, I do not believe Series 2 coils will give you any advantage over what you have and may even be the same damn things. Save your money, unless you are getting them for free and they fit.

I just noticed in your sig it says you have MSD coils, what's wrong with them. They put out plenty of juice.
Sounds like your trying to do something that is totally unnecessary. Are you trying to fix a problem? Or fixing something that isn't broken yet.?

I don't think there would be any gain at all, unless you have reached a point where the stock coils are not performing to your needs.

It's been pretty well hashed out on other 3800 forums that the stock L67 coils put out more voltage than the MSD coils, which _are_ an upgrade for the N/A (L36) motor's coils. At least that's how I understand it to be.

Either way, there are many very aggressive 3800s that still run the stock coils trouble free. The Series II S/C motor comes with the better coils.

I'm sure they are better than the coils from a 1990 motor.

Wait - when you say upgrade with series 2, do you mean you have replaced your motor with a series 2 3800? Or do you mean you replaced the coils? I'm confused at this point.
