I have one of those oil caps too which is primarily why I don't want to put this on the valve cover as much. Once I finally finish my genV up, the pcv will be unblocked so I can take off the breather and put that cap on.

Good choice, that was my favorite too. I'll keep my fingers crossed...

| just received mine in the mail. very quick shipping, but it came from miami area so it didnt have all that far to go for me. defiantly high quality badges, and the chrome oil cap is awesome! a lot heavier than i expected it to be because it's actually made of metal, not chrome coated plastic. now i just need to find a location of the badge. i'm liking the snout, but i also have a few other stickers on the radiator support. _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. Hmm the top of the case seems like an extra toasty place for the adhesive to live BTW the engine bay looks great, just need some headers and I'll give it an A+ Is that a Pulley Boys MPS or do you have a press-on? | |

You should get your car appraised Matthew, between the gorgeous exterior and detailed engine bay, you might own one of the more valuable Rivs out there! thanks guys I do put in a lot of man hours working on it, but i love every minute of it. _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. | Matt, Did you have your S/C and Snout Powdercoated black or did you just paint it.? It looks good. And I have a GenV and L32 LIM sitting here waiting for install. I think I should disassemble and have them powdercoated, but I'm afraid from experience on some other motorcycle parts that don't see 400* during normal operation and have warped during the curing process of heating the parts to 400* F. If these parts normally see 400*F then i have nothing to worry about. Please tell me what you think or what you have done to your intake set-up.

| it's black ceramic caliper paint. it doesnt get all that hot. i can hold my hand on the blower after driving around in traffic so long as it's not 90* outside. guess i'll find out how it holds up to fl heat soon enough. _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. Do you have one of those IR Thermometers that can measure the temp of the S/C and LIM while at operating temp in FL.? Even this time of year, it will give me a better idea of what normal S/c Temp is ?

| Rick, i just drove in from work and took a reading for you. it is 60* ambient and i was driving for about 30min, stop and go+highway+a race against a VW CC (he didnt have much of a chance from a dig and let off after i pulled 2cars by 50 lol).
snout temp=132*F S/C housing by badges=137/138* S/C by N* = 143* car was just turned off when i took the reading.
i'd expect much hotter temps in mid summer here, but so far the badges do not move when hot. | Well I know where the other badge is eventually going to go... I don't know how I didn't think of this before. something like that - I've going to wait until it's all on so I can see what visually makes the most sense. btw, the badge that's currently on my snout is still stuck strong. I would say it's safe at this point.

| OK, I'm obviously out of the loop... What the hell is that extra pulley for? With the amount of wrap that these motors already have on the blower pulley, you can't seriously be telling me you're slipping... (How 'bout a 455-4V sticker somewhere?) | |
