Yes I can, because of my back I will be having someone doing the install, so I guess I can be a pain in the neck and try to document the important stuff and get it posted. Next week is the LIM job and will get some pic's and the end of the month will be Sway Bar and mount. Rick

This is a great forum, but I don't take stock in the extremely subjective "Integrity" section. Folks like AA, Eldo, Derek, Randall, you (as examples) are ones I trust with sound advice. Thank you for the compliment. And as much as I have bitched about "the system" myself sometimes, honestly compels me to point out that the group you've just mentioned (plus Karma) are all pretty much in the 50+ Integrity club... and Turtleman & Abaddon are getting there. So actually, it might not be too inaccurate at that.

| That's what my rear mount looks like. It really looks like they went way too cheap on the girth for holding the weight and torque of the motor but whatever - GM | |

| Turtle, the pic of that mount above, is a perfect candidate for a 3M Window Weld fill. That shit works great. I filled my mounts up about a year and a half ago, and they're still as solid as the day they dried. I have a case of it if you need some. The only thing you would need to buy is the Primer. | |

| p.s. I have an extra junk mount assembly for the rear and bought the replacement rubber insert for it along with a tube of the 3M window weld - fast setting. I hope I don't need the primer that has been mentioned as I wasn't able to get some in time. If it is absolutely necesary then I will have wait to install this unit. What's your experience with this stuff if any.? Where did you buy the mount from and was it just the rubber part or did it come with the large steel bracket. (That used to be the one only available through GM for about $300.00) I know, cause I had them install one when they did the trans overhaul. It's already very sloppy due to the low durometer of the factory rubber or polyurethane. So for $50.00 I got just the rubber part to replace inside the steel mount.

| Rick, without the Primer for the Window Weld, it will eventually prematurely peel from the metal. | |

| Had to have my front cradle partially dropped today by Derek to install a different sway bar and he found 2 of the very large washers rotted away. They are gone, non-existent, etc.
Did someone mention they have some spares.?? If so, I could use 2 at minimum. I would like to eventually replace all of them.
Do I need to go to Morads for these or does anyone have any other suggestions.
Thanks, Rick

| Cody, Who did you order the rear mount from. I'm curious and will be looking forward to when you actually receive it as well. Maybe once you get it you can post a pic of it please and I'll compare to what I got from Advance Auto Parts. I'm going to hold off doing anything with this mount in case I have to return it and buy from where you bought yours. Rick | |

| Time to revive another old thread... I'm not saying I need to replace my motor mounts.... yet. But, I may. I don't have the luxury of time to remanufacture my mounts with the process outlined above. I had a free moment today and was driving past a buick dealer and decided to check them out. I was quoted $870.02 for the transmission mounts. 22178776 $147.88 22201115 $343.77 22201114 $313.18 & $65.19 in tax Are there any of these mounts available from any of your favorite online retailers any longer? I found www.gmpartsgiant.com and they have everything for $604.49 delivered. But that's still a HELL OF A LOT MORE THAN I WANT TO PAY. I'm open to your suggestions of other places to try. Thanks! | Hey guys, I'm on my phone... I can't figure out how to display a pic from another webpage, but take a look at this: http://www.enginemountwarehouse.com/ShopByVehicle.epc?q=1998-BUICK&yearid=1998%40%401998&makeid=13%40%40BUICK%40%40&yearid=1998%40%401998&makeid=13%40%40BUICK%40%40&modelid=1925@@RIVIERA&mode=EG
Take a look at the photo there. Which mount is this? The rear?
Also, The image Aaron posted above is up front correct?
Thanks, VegasScott | |

VegasScott If you're asking which mount takes the load most of the time, it is (fortunately) the left-front... When in Drive, the engine lifts its left side, and of course we generally only floor it when going forward.

VegasScott IMO, the front and rear (from the perspective of the car, not the motor) mounts need to most help. At least those are the two on my car that went completely to shit and the other 2 mounts are still ok after 200k mi.

| You're right, Codith, that's the front mount. The listing at Rockauto says "rear", but the number 3127 is for a front mount according to Anchor Industries: http://www.showmetheparts.com/anchor/# _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| Just an FYI for you guys...
If you are looking buy these mounts from RockAuto, you will find the 3065 REAR MOUNT in the Park Avenue section on their website.
So, front and rear mounts for less than a $100 bucks... sounds like a done deal to me!
Thanks guys!

| Working on filling my new rear mount insert. Here's what I got so far. I got a piece of scrap plexiglas from the hardware store and I'm going to use it as mold ends for the 3M poly stuff. Nice thing is the plexiglas has the protective film on it so you can pretty much peel it right off after you're done with the mold. Cut the plastic into big enough pieces to cover each side Mark the areas that need to be cut out. You get the idea. I had to stop here for now because the 3M primer was dried up in the bottle. | |

| That photo isn't our actual rear mount, is it Robo? Also, I find it interesting that for the '97s RockAuto lists the 3127 front mount (with of course no rear mount.) The PA lists the 3065 rear and a 3126 for the front mount, both N/A and S/C. I shouldn't have thought that, in a completely different chassis, they could match the rear mount but not the simpler front mount... | |
