| AA has got roughly that. Check out his mods in his sig.
in a nutshell though: CAI/FWI headers w/ cat delete rockers a good tune 104's which you got, and maybe a 180 degree thermostat 3.4" pulley

| True cold air intake should be next on your list.
After that, 3.4" SC pulley + rockers + tuner are easiest way to start. Headers could be next if you want more.

How much(approx.) would these mods and tires cost for parts and labor? How much more should be budgeted for other items(scanner etc.) that would be needed to support these mods? Not really interested in racing anyone in the 1/4 just using it for a benchmark. Bert

Bert Should be in the low 14s easily. (see sig)

Bert Should be in the low 14s easily. (see sig) I could probably do most of that work myself..but it might be more cost effective to pay someone that knows these cars and has a lift and a welder and wont screw me over...if such a persone exists within a reasonable distance. Like the headers and the rockers for instance. It might be better to get a pro to do that if I could find a 'pro". I think I may start hoarding some money to mod the Riv one of these days...Must gather knowledge...my knowlege grows larger... Bert

| I am thinking about doing some basic upgrades to a stock 14,000 mile Riviera. What should I be looking at? Or should I just leave it stock and drive it Sunday to church? thanks Anthony gofastsix@hotmail.com | |

| What kind of upgrades do you have in mind? Handling/suspension? Engine performance? Stereo...?
Honestly, the supercharged Rivs perform very well in stock form, power-wise, but do suffer in the handling dept. Adding a Caddy STS strut tower brace greatly enhances cornering, and there are bigger aftermarket sway bars available as well.

| Just engine performance. I think the rest of it will be fine for the time being with the low mileage on the car. thanks Anthony | |

| What would you like the engine to do?
For basic performance mods, I would start with rockers and a smaller pulley. If you don't do anything to the exhaust, you might be able to pull off a 3.5 pulley with the rockers and some tuning. If you can't do any tuning, you'll want to open the exhaust up some too. Some say just adding a DP is an improvement, I did the ported manifold/PLOG thing and ended up putting headers on, so you may want to just jump straight to headers.
What's your budget? | |

| I will start with a pulley stat and filter and see how that goes. thanks | |

| Deekster - I realize your mods support the headers but are beyond that of my set up but with tuition limited finances, my next enhancement was going to be a PLOG, 3" DP, HF cat, 2.5 resonator, handmade Y and cherry bombs all 2.5". I wanted to have all this done before going to a 3.5 pulley. Even trying to locate budget items I'm still north of 300. Since the nose pinch on our engines is the front manifold I figured the PLOG would keep me happy until i can afford the 600 or so for a set of pacesetters...your thoughts? | |

Good plan to open everything else up before doing a 3.5 pulley. If you are doing a pulley, I highly recommend using an MPS, so you never need a pulley puller again. The combined exhaust work will make a big difference, allowing you to consider the pulley. 3.5 is as low as I'd recommend on a stock valvetrain. Sounds like a good plan, keep your eyes on clubgp, used parts and demods are going on all the time, and lately some of the prices have been dirt cheap.
