Nope, no paint. Probably just a clear powder coating to seal it up once I'm done.

UPDATE!!!!!

I made a short video instead of pics. The finish on it now is with Purple Scotch Brite. Polish is right around the corner! Can't wait for that PITA.....the video is a bit grainy/choppy cause I did it with my cell phone. Somehow during the upload it slows down

You must have to much spare time! I think I will just scuff and shoot it with hi-temp enamel. It looks awesome though.

Another update. It's almost done. Still have most of the backside of it to do, and need to touch up all the lil corners, but here she is....




Notice the "haze" on the right of the lower photo. I still need to buff that side out. Other than that, she's almost done! I have to get my MPS (not purchased yet) mounted on the nose before I polish it. Don't want to f-it-up after the polish. When it's all said and done....ON TO THE INTAKE!!!

This is getting exciting Scott. Just curious, are you using a phone camera?, because the pics are not doing your work justice.

You DO realize what this means, don't you... There is now a moral imperative to find chromed rocker covers, chromed exhaust headers, chromed alternator and chromed injector plumbing!

(Hmmm... Does anyone chrome heads and blocks??)

Yeah. Took them with my phone at work. I have the USB cable for it there, so I can upload pics at my terminal. The final pics will be with the the 10mP...promise

Haha. Yes I know. I keep looking under the hood at all the rough cast Aluminum crap that can be polished. Rocker covers are a definite to go with the S/C and thermo housing. I think the polished Alu with some anodized parts is gonna look sweet. Mind you, I'm only doing this to kill time.....

Well, I'm done with the outside of the main housing. Here's another cell pic for ya. As promised, I will use the "good" camera when it's totally done and assembled. I didn't worry about getting the "mounting" surface perfect, as you won't see it when it's on the car anyway.

Very nice I have done the same to rims and it was a TON of work. Halfway through the first 6 hours you start wondering why you even bothered

LOL yes the nose is getting done too. Karma, if you sent me a shell to polish, I'd do it. But, I'd be sending you this one to work your machine magic on the bottom side.....

I've been wondering that ever since I started. But, once you dig in with the 36 Grit, you're committed.

I almost have it all together but one of my bolts fell out the bucket! I'm still looking for that and I only have enough energy for go fast mod's. All for go and not much for show! When you gonna stop shinning that rock and put it on with a N* TB?

I've already got a N* installed man! This blower isn't going on 'till the new engine is built.

Well, it happened again.....guy at work backed into the front left of my car. Got the sidemarker, the bumper, fender, and trim molding. WTF!!!!!!
