| I would like to have my fans turn on at 200deg and was wondering if this is possible on a '96. I am able to manually do this by tapping wires 31&32 at the pcm and grounding them but would rather reprogram.

| Welcome to the club... It is possible, but finding the programmer that will let you do it is the rub. The dealers, of course, can do it, but they are not allowed. Do a search for 'programmer' to get familiarized... | |

| This can be done with a Tech II. And I think might have been do-able with the Tech I and adapter cord. I imagine so and one of the '96 owners should chime in soon with more detail.
Dealer mechs can't really do this, but you might be able to track down someone wiht a Tech II who can.

| Tech 1, NO, no programming of cooling fans or anything else available to my knowledge. That was the tool I used before the NEW Tech2 came out. You could only see and operate some things with the Tech1.
But, they could have offered updates to the tool that I am not aware of.
The only thing I'm aware of is the aftermarket software. | |
