Tinted headlights/tailights

Has anyone tried tinting their headlights or tailights on the riv? Any pictures if you have?

I bought a new headlight and I'm going to buy some vht nightshade and give it a try. Just wondering if anyone else has tried this out.

I'm only going to try this first one out and see how it looks then we'll go from there. I want to do this before I spend the money on new clear corners cause if it looks good im just going to tint them.

What do you guys think about it?

i smoked my back lights on my rivi.... waiting to smoke the fronmt ones... u wanna see some pics ill post them up later on today

I am thinking about smoking the turn signals in the bumper. What do you guys think?

Put in some brighter bulbs it should look great.

smoked lights should loko bad ass in ur car... but i mean evryone has different taste.... ill post some pics up later on today of my smoked lights

hope you dont mind me stealing your pic, but is this what you're talking about doing? not too shabby and it would look better in person rather than my crappy chop skilz. are you looking to smoke it or black it out completly?

could you do it again with out tinting the head light. I don't want to tint the headlight. To much attetnion for my new york cops.

Thinking about doing this to the headlights and corner lights. It may solve the yellowing issues on the corner lights. I'm not sure how it will hold up against chips n bugs n stuff though.

Anyone else want to try this and be the ginny pig before I trash my headlights?

I have a spare front headlight sitting on the table downstairs. I was planning on doing this but I don't know how its going to look with my blue car. Black on the other hand it would probably look pretty good.

Eventually I will buy some nightshade off ebay and do it though. Just don't know when.

I would be cool if we could just replace the lense cover with something without lines in it so you can see the components of the light. And from that town down some of the chrome.

It would be just like the clear coat that's on the hood, I would think it should hold up pretty good? .

How did you tint them. A few years ago when I worked at a body shop I tinted some of my friends taillights by mixing black paint with the clear coat and it worked great.

VHT night shade. Three or four light coats. Clear coat, sand and compound.
