Coolant recovery tank Empty
PostSubject: Coolant recovery tank   Coolant recovery tank EmptyWed Feb 02, 2011 6:03 pm

Anyone know exactly what I should ask for when I go to the parts store? I can't even find one on rockauto.

Car got stuck in the snow and in the process of getting it out it heated up to about 220 and the coolant boiled up and I found out it had a crack in it. Going to go ahead and replace the tank, thermostat, and LIMG. It cracked in the upper corner where it bolts on and is pretty thing.

You aren't going to find a coolant tank on rock auto. I would get one from Morad, http://www.moradpartscompany.com/

There is also this one on E Bay,

I saw the tank on ebay. If you plug in 97 Riviera it says it won't fit, but it does look similar. Hmmm. I'm guessing worst case scenario I could make it work.
