FAQ: Coolant Recovery/Overflow Bottle/Reservoir Options

Has anyone replaced their coolant recovery bottle with a smaller one? Any idea what size/model/brand would work best, trying to get some more room near the intake.

You can replace it with just about anything you want including a big coke bottle.All you must have is a bottom recovery nipple.Jegs sells recovery bottles for cheap $19 bucks last I looked.they're bottles are set up for an fittings I think,just buy a barbed adaptor and you're all set.

Thanks Robo. I was just curious if anyone has done this and found a model that fits nicely over the wheel well, and frees up some space near the CAI.

Yes, something like that. Has anyone here installed one of these? Hows the fit/function?

The coolant reservoir on my 95 is cracked. I can find some cheap pulls from other years, so am wondering if any other year reservoir will fit/work with a 95 or if is is model year specific?

I replaced a 95 coolant reservoir with a 97 or 98. The only difference is the color of the lettering on the cap. You could just swap yours over to the new one.
