| Got the intake mounted up today and torqued down. waiting on a metal coolant fitting to replace the factory plastic 1. I managed not to break the plastic 1 but I figure, "why risk it?" Hopefully i will get some time to do the RR's tomorrow. I found a stray wire that has been taped off on the end. It's a small grey wire (seen laying over plug wires on lower LH) that looks like it might be from the harness leading to the base of the coil packs. Anybody got any ideas what it could be? i haven't noticed anything abnormal when i was driving it. | |

| You have no idea, how anxious I am. I have to get a few vacuum fittings today from the store and some TB cleaner. If I can get the TB to the stage I want it today i will most likely finish it off this evening. | |

| Seriously, get used to the person in front of you lighting up their brake lights when you get on it to pass them. It sounds like a police siren at first. Once doing the SC work this happens 90% of the time to me now. Though yours might be a bit quieter with the stock intake tube. _________________ | |

| Well I was a little disappointed in myself when i took the car for a test drive today. I must'nt have done a very good job of making sure the throttle body gasket seated properly. I took it for a short rip today and found I was burning a little white smoke. I was thinking at first it must be residue, but when it kept going after running a bit I thought, "OMG i messed up installing the LIM!" I pressure tested the system though and the leak was at the base of the throttle body just seeping out above my temperature sender. I ordered a new gasket for this afternoon and will get it right this time. I think my mistake was using a little silicone to hold the gasket in place.

| Thanks for the compliments guys, I'm flattered. Got everything almost 100% just have to get all the air worked out of the coolant system. The kid has soccer practice tonight, hope to purge the air and do a sound bite after that for tomorrow. | |

| Yeah I was looking at the "Devils Own" kit for my car, things just kinda went up in the air now with the tune and the meth. I just found out my GF and I have another "bun in the oven" due around Christmas this year. I am keeping the Riviera but will have to be a bit more selective on my mods. May just go with the sinister tune and call it a day. It's pouring rain here atm so I may have to shoot the vids inside my garage, i'll see if they SQ is post worthy, if not i will wait for a nice day and re-do them. | |

| Heres a short video of the engine. I will have to look at a FWI setup to get alittle more noise out of it. The factory airbox still manages to really keep it quiet. Let me know if the vid is working, I can't upload onto my Youtube for some reason, so i had to use photobucket. | |

| I actually haven't insured the Riv for this year. My GF is pregnant with our second and we already have 2 cars insured, so i figured i would insure the Dodge truck for the third instead. The truck is more useful to me in the summer on the farm than three cars. Plus then the Riv keeps the miles low and I can put a little bit of money into chassis parts for it before the baby arrives. I still have to change the oil pan set in the Riv (parts are in the garage), after that's done i will take her for another test voyage with a camera on shotgun. My moms out for a month from Ontario so it may be abit. | |

| My brother and I took the Riv out for a short bag session the other day. Got back to the yard and just as I was about to park it 1 of my roller rockers had loosened off and made a heck of a ticking. I'm was thinking to myself, "please let that be under the front VC" But of course it wasn't, turned out i didn't use enough lock tight on the second 1 in on the drivers side. Luckily it was a super nice day today so i ripped of the rear VC and re locktighted/retorqued the RR. Got everything buttoned back up and no more noise. I found it disturbing just how much work was involved to remove the rear valve cover, when the actual cause took all of 15 minutes to repair. Damn you GM! | |
