| I've been looking for a lowering kit for the Reatta without any success. Any suggestions? | |

| "Coil Spring Specialties" out of Kansas.will fab up a set for any car, to your specs for around the same amount of a comparable brand. I had a set made that turned out great.Except they messed up on the front springs. they're a little longer than the rears. My nose sat a little higher for awhile, not alot, but now they have settled and in appearance they look the same. | |

| With most cars 2" is safe, assuming you keep the same diameter tire.if you plus size,1.5" is good and so on and so forth... find out what your stock spring rates are.most times the guys at CCS have that info. When you have that, think about how much cornering performance you want and order based on that.stock Buick rates are very soft.It all boils down to how much is acceptable for you.
If you tinker with your tire size you will + or - your speedo. not worth it imo.bigger tires will hurt your acceleration performance

| I like the wheels Dave, but I agree...keep the originals! I know far too well how hard they are to find in such nice condition like yours!
Off topic, but I still love the Lacrosse wheels on your Riv!

| Dave, I think you could always squash the springs through JCWhittney with some kind of clamp thingies. Or, pay the suspension gurus to slice an inch out of the engineered tolerances with wizardry, expecting the possibility of occasional bottom-outs. An inch seems a lot for that one. Unless you're cruising LA and include pneumatics for that special bounce in your step, I'd trust that GM got the ride height correct. Fact is, that kind of change is sorta like transgender surgery... it's hard to go back | |

| Sean:
After careful consideration, I have decided to go with a taller tire (245/55R18) rather than lowering the suspension on the Reatta. I'm getting them from TireRack for a very reasonable price. I think they will fill out the fender wells quite nicely and I won't be sacrificing ride quality. I just don't care for the low profile 40 series tires. They always look flat to me.

- Big plans in the works for the Reatta...Made arrangements today for Ryan over at Sinister Performance to do an engine swap for me. If all goes according to plan, I'm going to ship the Reatta to him and then fly in and drive home when the job is completed. He will be installing a Series 3. Only drawback is... I'm on a waiting list.
I haven't been on the Reatta forum in a few years. Did they finally figure resolve the BCM issue with engine swaps (so you don't lose the dash and touchscreen) ?

| Hmmmm, I was reminded by a thread notice that you had a plan to drop an SC engine in that Reatta. Has the 'Vette dampened that idea? | |

Already did...It's got a Series II in it now. I had planned to do a Series III but the cost was prohibitive. I posted a pic somewhere.

| I thought so as well. Been looking for a pic w/ the series II in it but I think it must've been vaporized in a server drop at some point or somethin | |
