| I attempted to adjust my trunk hinges to tighten up the trunk lid a bit but the little adjusting nuts would not move and I didn't want to break them so I stopped. It's a 95 and had the factory paint still in tact. What now?? How do I turn those without breaking something? Should I put a vise grip on the shaft ? And which way do I turn them to tighten the trunk lid? | |

| I posted this the other day looking for help with it but it has no responses. I do not want to break the trunk hinges and I am not even sure I am doing it correctly. Won't someone help? | |

| what shaft? from what I can tell is that you have to turn the rubber bumpers at the front of the trunk to tighten the lid against the body. | |

| Are you talking about the adjustments on the hinges up by the rear window? I adjusted mine and it wasn't hard to break the adjusting nuts loose. | |

Yes, the adjustments on the hinges. Did you just crank on the nuts to break them loose? It feels like I am going to break mine.

Yes, the adjustments on the hinges. Did you just crank on the nuts to break them loose? It feels like I am going to break mine. I don't have it in front of me, but I will see the car tomorrow and review it. I think that's all I did. If I can I'll post a pic or short video.
