Last thing: to get the most out of your bars, replace the links and use harder link bushings. This is especially important up front, where there is more force being transferred through the bar. See this thread for more on upgrading links:

The Addco bar comes with upg endlinks and bushings. The stock ones are quite soft.

send me a pm too jason. im also interested in the buy R

Ahh, I never got them with mine. It's nice they supply them now.

I sent Codith a PM with the contact info he needed to address his out of plane Front bar. I am not getting involved in anyway in another group purchase.

First we need 10 orders before we can even think about another group purchase. I think we have about 5 or 6 now?

As an FYI to anyone, I've listed everyone who said they were interested in this group buy. This info was just from previously in the thread. I am not organizing the group buy, just hopefully participating.

he was NOT contacting them to setup a GP or to order a bar. He wants his CURRENT out-of-plane addco bar -which he ordered through them- replaced.

Mods, could you please set up a separate thread for the possible GP and move all associated posts there ? I think it's justified in light of this mass confusion.

Sorry about that. I do remember seeing the pictures of his bar. Didn't make the connection. I wouldn't call it mass confusion though lmao A separate thread for another GP would be great. Hope we can get 10 orders.

Thanks AA and Jason for the info.

I actually emailed Neverenoughauto's ebay store originally because that's how I bought it and they even referred me directly to John. I basically forwarded him that email and some pictures.

I ended up getting a message back by phone saying that they would send a replacement but they don't have any in stock now. They would have to get more made. He said if I ship the bar to him, he would get it on the machine and straighten it. I don't really love the sound of that idea but what am I gonna do. I plan on doing my cradle swap and whatnot this weekend and, unfortunately, the bar is going to have to wait and get put in later which is what I was trying very hard to avoid but this cradle cannot wait.

What do you guys think about that straightening idea?

It would probably chip the paint if they re-bend it. Ask if it's okay if you can wait for a new one when they come in. Also ask for a ship label to return the bar you have.

I agree with Aaron. Ask for a pre-paid shipping label and that it be repainted if it gets significantly scratched.. I wouldn't have an issue with having it put back on the machine. It won't make it weaker.

The front bar has returned to Addco by now. We'll see what I get back.

I have the rear sitting here. Question - I have Moog links and if I try to assemble the pieces through the bar, I don't have enough bolt left sticking out to get the nut or even the last washer on. Anyone have this issue? Just to double check if this is right, I have the larger rubber pieces on the bar ends.

When I installed my new Addco rear bar I used an Energy Suspension Link kit for the rear based on a part number I found somewhere in this thread that worked fine.
The length of the bolts were adequate and all tightened up good.
Don't know if maybe you have the wrong links for the bar your installing. Maybe the wrong parts in the box you got. It happens.

I dont recall the rubber pieces being different in size. I have the energy suspension stuff installed though so maybe the moog kit is different. You might want to just run by the local autozone and pick up the ES end link universal kit for $20. The red poly stuff is stiff as hell and then you can either use the provided bolt and cut it (if you have the equipment to cut it w/o messing up the threads) or just run to Lowes and pick up some grade 10 bolts and nuts in the size that works.
I did this for the front and rear on my riv.

I used the same Moog link kits when I installed the FE2 rear bar and it worked fine. I looked under the car and apparently I put the smaller ones on the bottom around the bar end. I guess at that time, I felt like the smaller ones fit the bar better than they would have fit the control arm side. Since now I'm seeing that the bigger ones fit the new Addco bar better, that means I probably want the bigger pieces for both ends. I'll see how my spare set of ES bushings fit this and just buy a couple longer bolts from the hardware store.

That's the kit Moog K6690

sway bar - Write-Up: Front/Rear (Addco) Stabilizer/Sway Bar Installation - Page 13 CIMG3288
the two different size rubber pieces

There's a complete ES link kit for the back? I didn't even know that; I'll look through the thread for the part number.

as far as i am aware there is NOT an ES part number specific for the riv.
i just picked up the "universal" kit from the shelf at autozone and it has worked well. very little compression from those bushings and the washers are thick.

I grabbed a pair of 6" long grade 8 bolts from Ace today and the one and only ES link bushing kit I saw at the auto store. Looks like that's good to go now.

Except I snapped the bolt for the driver side bushing mount. while trying to get it out. To be continued I guess..

I got the front bar back yesterday and no bueno! There's evidence it was touched but the problem was exactly the same. I think there is a serious lack of communication in affect here. John understands what the problem is but whoever is working on the bar must not have know what to look at because when I opened the box and pulled the bar out, I could see right away that it was still off. I guess it could have slowly sprung back between its re-bending and me getting it. I emailed John and he gave me his apologies and said he's sending another one today or tomorrow. All I can say is It's a good thing this isn't something that I need.

John seems like a great guy. A few of us have experienced delays or other problems getting these bars, and I believe he came through to help. He can take his time about it, but in the end he'll get you what you need - I agree, glad it's not a time sensitive item!

I got the replacement front bar today. I can't really check alignment to the end links but the bushing parts look good. Third time's a charm I guess. Now I just need to figure out when I'm ever going to have time to drop the rear of the cradle down again to put it in. Woo!

You can install the bar without dropping the cradle. Or are you just doing it to make the job 'easier'?

What Aaron said. I did a sway replacement in a buddy's Regal a few weeks ago and it was a bitch to get in but it happened after about 10 mins of jostling. I assume there's about the same room in the Riv.
