| Okay, i'm not joking. So has anyone ever had roof rails fitted on the riv? Some type rails what you can install on a car whit out trilling any holes or using glue. I need it to carry my Downhill bike to bike parks. I used to use my work van for it, but cos its a old crap i don't want to drive it longer then 1h trips, cos it kills my back. Also i'm sick of parting out my bike to fit inside the car. Would be simple just to throw it on the roof. I know i could install a hook on back of the riv, and use a hook type bike rack. BUT i don't want to risk my 7000€ bike get rearended. So if anyone has heard of some type roof rail system what may fit the riv let me know. something like that | |

| The GM Accessory catalog used to show roof rails for the Riv, and I suspect you may still be able to get them although not from a dealer - I think one manufacturer was Thule.

| I've seen bicycle racks that fit into a tow hitch. Maybe that is a a way to go. It would also be more versatile. How much can the Riv tow anyway? _________________ 98 Riviera SC3800 All stock except gutted air box. 1970 Buick GS455 Stage1, TSP built 470BBB, 602HP/589TQ Best MPH, 116.06 MPH, Best ET, 11.54 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHCda-t_Jls https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfT2tEO4XcU

| Estonia/Finland, Being there is probably your biggest hurdle. Did a Google search, but so far, this is all I could find.

http://www.andysautosport.com/buick/1995_1999_riviera/exterior/racks/bike_racks/spyder_auto/sydr00000032.html thanks, but the problem is how can i install it on the roof if the Riv does not have rails. A friend of mine will sell me a Thule ProRide bike rack if i find a way to install it. | |

| Not without drilling holes, and glue? I don't think so. Maybe the universal ones clamp onto the window channels some how. I'd call the manufacturer and ask how the universal ones attach. _________________ 98 Riviera SC3800 All stock except gutted air box. 1970 Buick GS455 Stage1, TSP built 470BBB, 602HP/589TQ Best MPH, 116.06 MPH, Best ET, 11.54 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHCda-t_Jls https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfT2tEO4XcU

| Yes, that looks like it clamps between the roof and window channel. _________________ 98 Riviera SC3800 All stock except gutted air box. 1970 Buick GS455 Stage1, TSP built 470BBB, 602HP/589TQ Best MPH, 116.06 MPH, Best ET, 11.54 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHCda-t_Jls https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfT2tEO4XcU

| I had a Thule rack on my Riv. I used the rear brackets from a Regal and the front brackets from a Dakota. I have those brackets, actually 2 sets (since they came 4 to a set). I used them for skis and occasionally a roof box. | |

| The rear bracket goes on the center section of the roof. I was careful to make sure the paint was very clean before installing the brackets, and as long as you don't overtighten them it works fine. If you make them _too_ tight you can start to pull the metal in. But really, it's not as bad as it sounds. | |

| The US Thule site shows roof brackets for the Riv. So... you might want to try that again. Riv was not sold in Europe that I know if, I think the Regal was. So - again I am guessing - that may be why you did not find Thule listing for the Riv.
