Picked up a new axle and output shaft seal today.

Wish me luck on the repair!

Thanks, Tyler, for your offer on that axle!

Ripped off my tint yesterday and today off the door windows and smaller rear windows. Best way to remove tint is with a steamer, if anyone was wondering. I came to find out that the rear windows had 2 layers of tint. A cheap 10% that came right off and then some nasty sticky purple junk that was bubbling. That was a bitch compared to the rest and I needed to use steam and razor bladeS.

I left the rear window tint on because it still looks good and I won't be going any darker there.
I am going to do 5% on the rears and 20% on the fronts.

I'd never go there for anything. I know a guy through a friend that does amazing work. I'll be taking it to him in the next couple weeks.

Forgot to mention..

Anyone remember me posting a while back about my poor fuel economy? I couldnt understand how you guys were getting 300+ miles per fill? Well, I know why now. It wasn't my injectors or plugs or anything under the hood. It was because my weight distribution was off.

After installing the Eibachs I have a different stance and weight distribution. I am getting 300+ miles a fill every time and thats with plenty of WOT and 2nd/3rd gear city cruising.

so yeah. I am getting about 50+ miles a fill now that I wasn't getting before. It's nice.

That is good to hear. I haven't felt good about your car since your ride height changed back on page 1. The car is supposed to be flat and somewhat close to the ground for the best economy. It's amazing how much aerodynamics affect MPG.

Thanks, Derek.

We good now. I just cant decide if my back is just a bit too high. I might bend the air pump arm just a mm more. But I love the current stance and ride.

Working on the stereo and cabin now. Then getting front sway bar parts and doing exhaust.

Charlie, you'll probably love those Eurolamps. I got some years ago (some time in 2009) and they're still going strong... in fact, so strong that the two I got actually totally fried the stock bulb sockets about 2 years after I put them in. lol (btw, totally off topic... it looks like you have the same keyboard as me. Microsoft 400 series keyboard?? lol)

Which is what will more than likely happen when you install 65W-100W low beams in a 45w-55w setup. Hopefully it doesn't melt the headlamp assembly where the bulb attaches as well.
Problem is, the factory wires and pigtail isn't made to withstand the higher current, and heats up a shit-ton. If you're lucky, it won't melt. They sell thicker jumpers made with ceramic pigtails to prevent this problem. I have 2 of them if you want them....just to be safe

Oh I've got heavy duty everything in there now after that happened but Charlie might want to invest... makes sense, just took a few years to happen. The only things melted were the socket contact points... everything else was totally fine

I lost to an 80s mustang last weekend. YOu know.. those short small boxy lookin ones.

Im in the left lane, he's in the right behind his friends truck. He's swerving back and forth laughing. I knew right away this guy would take my bait. I'm always looking for a street fight afterall..

So, light turns green and i torque out real fast. sure enough, he gets in my lane then passes his friend back on the right, right quick.

right when he starts catching up to me, i lay into it. I was leading just fine until about 75mph then he started creepin up and passed me. He got a full boxed mustang length ahead of me before he started braking.

I lost. Dang.

It was the 2nd car to ever beat me. First was a G8. I couldn't believe how fast it pulled away from me at 90mph. Insane.

I've killed a deville, a civic, and a 328i. Thus far. 3 n 2. That's not a bad record for a noob, right?

I love every red light I get to line up at. Always hoping the dude next to me wants to see what happens.

Those fox bodies are tricky... You never know what they have in them! One of my friends has a vert that runs 11s, but it looks bone stock. By far the most satisfying car to toast when you can though!

Did an antenna delete today.. hood style. My antenna broke and was stuck up and it was leaking water through the trunk. I pulled it out today and put 2 pieces of electrical tape over the hole followed by a plastidip patch. I think that will hold it ok until I get it welded shut when its time for body work and paint.
