Could very well be the wrong item or a packaging error. Send that picture to wherever you ordered it from and have them send you the right piece!

First port job. I tried to get the edges down and even with the mounting plate but wussed out because I didnt want to thin out the welds. But i'm satisfied. This should add at least 5HP, right?! Can't wait to use the dremel to polish the genV. Not so sure i'm going to try porting that tho.

It'll be just fine. The ports on the stock heads are roughly same or smaller than 1 5/8 tube. If anything with powerlogs, i'd probably just do some cleaning up at the side edges since that's where the ports are widest and would be closest. You could probably start taking more material from the tube if you really needed to as they've done a full bead weld right on the outside of flange - so you can kinda do whatever you want on the inside. The batch of ssac headers I have, they didn't sit the pipe all the way flush to the flange like on your plog, instead set them back so they're maybe only half way in the flange so you have like a two-step thing happening which is great if you need the bigger porting so I cleaned it up kinda like what you did.

Thanks for the pro tips, Codith.
I took it another step and was surprised at the difference a 2nd round made.
I'll post another pic later

They sent me another spectre tube. the ID on that was also 3.5" same as the first. I knew that's what was going to happen. So much for 4" intake.
PLOG and ceramic crossover are going on next.
Still gotta get a mount/bridge piece for the IAT sensor before I move forward with the intake project.

I tried the antenna mod today, no luck. I got worse reception with it like yours than with the antenna itself. Maybe I'll get one of those ones you stick across the top of the backseats?
Check out my antenna comments, they may help.

I did read those. I just went back to the actual antenna. I just switched to bluetooth for the most part anyways because the station that was getting awful reception started playing crap music.

you know what this means!
and wow. you guys werent kidding about the supercharger whine being turned up! Sounds great! My MAF numbers are a lot higher now too. That's all i can really report for now.
New intake is sweet so far. It's not completed. I still have to drop the filter under the fender well. Right now its just on top.
so far so good, tho.
$400 for a GenV LIM and N* throttle body parts, adapter plate, etc... shipped
Good deal or pass?

$400 is a fair deal on that stuff. You can piece it together yourself for probably a little less but it's a hassle to get the N* throttle body right. If it's all together, $400 is not bad at all.

Dude wants $200 for a used L32 LIM but then I find new for < $100?
Am I missing something? http://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-12603871-Intake-Manifold-Assembly/dp/B0049Z11ZA
How much should I expect to pay for an L32 LIM?
putting this link here for my future reference: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002LWL3XI/ref=s9_simh_se_p263_d0_i2?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=auto-no-results-center-1&pf_rd_r=0XRVVW1D7V03MVM0XRVV&pf_rd_t=301&pf_rd_p=1263465782&pf_rd_i=12584411

If that's the right part # for L32 LIM, i'd order it quickly. $100 w/ core is about right, $200 without. You get to keep your core, so sell it for an even better deal.

Ordered.
Just need the LIM gasket, genV bolts, and N* throttle set up, and its time to evolve.

I've got that stuff on my watch list. Let us know how they fit, and I might be next in line. You can grab some gen V's on eBay for around $250 + $45 shipping (give or take). They're used and could probably use a good go over, but for the price you can't complain. Are you going for a full port and polish?

Is this what 4" spectre flex tube looks like? box says 4" part # but ID looks 3.5"? Did I get the wrong pipe in the right box?
UPDATE:
I returned this and got a new one thinking I got the wrong product. The new one was exactly the same with a 3.5" diameter. I know some of you have these same part #9751 Can anyone confirm whether theres is 4" or 3.5" ID?
I am not too concerned about the 4" until I go GenV + N* but I am just curious why they advertise it as a 4" intake tube with a 3.5" ID.

Got this lil guy this weekend. A 10" 1200W Dual 2-Ohm Subwoofer.
I am collecting parts for my stereo set up and found this little gem by chance. I'd like to build a back seat armrest mount for it. I have a box for it. Just gotta mod it. Still collecting for that GenV top swap too, tho.
Here's one in action

We have always advertised this part as 4” O.D. that will fit over a 4” tube. As for using this ducting on a supercharged engine as an intake tube it is not recommended. Air duct hose is intended to be used to bring cold air to the air filter not to be used between the air filter and the throttle body.
