wow !!!! wow !!! I'm not alone after all !!! WOW I'm so happy

My name is dave and I live in northern wisconsin. I'm in my second riv a 1998 after my 95 just got to costing more than I wanted to spend so,that ( and taking out a power pole last oct while using my riv as a snowmobil ) caused me to bid on a 98 off of e-bay that wasn't on the east coast where I picked it up for 3g. Not too bad but it had been sitting so new brakes were needed and the air went out somewhere back down the line as well. Now i have another 1500$ in er and I have some issues to be dealt with. I have an ses light and a p1665 code where I have replaced the evap s/w and gas cap but that ain't it. No more running to advance auto and throwing parts at this baby. I'm learing to build a smoke machine and how to test a S/w with 12v batt. The squeek from the rear springs is another problem and I just found out the low washer fluid sensor is behine the inner finder boot. Sure am glad I have the 95 still in the yard. I have been told only a body shop has the software for the air bag light.
So I'm glad to be here. I was gonna go into about a 2003 or newer park ave, but I like the riv cause they are way cool. I need center caps as well but I,m thinking new rims or cheep aftermarket replacements with my own personal touch like a nice black R in the center with red outline.

Good luck chasing down the problem; at least you can scan the OBD2 '98 yourself instead of the OBD1.5 in the '95!

Your P1665 code might be rust perforation of the fuel filler tube; you should check the fuel filler tube from the fender filler neck to the tank. There is a thread on furl filler tube replacement. If you can't get one specifically for the Riv you can get one for say a 2004 Park Ave and modify it to fit using the old Riv filler as a "pattern" so to speak, only diff is the ParkAve tube is a bit longer and has a bend you have to accommodate by trimming the plate that the filler passes thru on the inner fender.
