| Subject: So need help after making a discovery the hard way.... Thu Dec 27, 2012 11:28 pm | |
| I was having the as i understand it, common 3800 issue of the bad plastic heater pipes ( the little 90 degree plastic ones) much to my chagrin i discovered that the hidden one on Buick isn't plastic but metal. unfortunately i found this out by it breaking and leaving half the aluminum inserted pipe in its receiver on the engine. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas how to get that piece out. That way i can get the new one and insert it in to the receiving port. attaching a pic if i can figure it out to give you all an idea what piece broke. | |

| There is nothing holding it in except the oring and maybe some corrosion buildup. I was able to use a right angle pick and right angle screwdriver on the plastic one, you should be able to use whatever you can get in there. I like the penetrant PB Blaster over anything else. and mayne you can fit a big easy-out bolt extractor in it? | |
