Good news!

so i was at the local club meet and had a friend scan my car several time. one run was 0-75 or 80 (on 30mph roads ) and the few other runs wer from a roll to about 50 or 60mph.
i dont have the data but it was 65* out and i only peaked 2.4* KR at WOT most spikes were under 2*. with my mods i am very impressed that i am not seeing more knock than that. once i get my DP installed i shouldn't see ANY knock. but i dont plan on droping past the 3.4 without first getting a tuner.
i plan to scan again during the day when it is hot and see where i stand.
btw he has a 95 riv and a 99 silver arrow...he will be joining soon.

Cool! I think I mentioned in a previous thread that your KR situation may not be as bad as you think. Glad to hear that's the case.

A couple things for next time you scan: 1) Log a scan when downshifting (WOT) from a 45-55 mph roll. The downshift can cause a higher spike of KR. Good to know what that number is... 2) Try to run up past 100 mph if you can do it safely. At the track, I usually run through 1st gear with near 0 KR, then if I see any at all it will be a small blip right after the shift into 2nd, and then again at the top of 2nd above 80 mph it will start building again. Nothing serious, but I know where my problem areas are. Your problem areas could be in different areas, but good to know where they lie.

My worst KR is at the top of 2nd gear. Haven't taken it up to the top of third yet

Possible I guess on the downshift, but I believe the blip after a WOT upshift is real. At lower RPM, there is more load put on the engine while accelerating, so I believe it tends to knock more. I've seen KR in cruise at 1700 RPM while going up a hill.
