| Alright thanks. I try to stick true to brand, so my thermostat will match my SLP headers. Haha I know its silly, but to each their own I guess. | |

| Yes, it is silly, but it's your money. SLP sources their t-stats from Motorad. You can pay $15 + shipping, our get the same thing at Autozone for $5-10 less. FYI, AutoZone calls them Duralast - same product. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| I was idling at like 210ish with my 180 tstat a few days ago in traffic. Really thinking about trying a 160 tstat out just to see how it helps in the hot hot heat we are going to have this summer.
Probably need a tune to get the fans to turn on sooner too, huh.
OK, just read some. Never mind. I dont need a 160, I need a tune.

Even with a 180 T-stat, you're still going to reach over 200*. Yes, if you want to reap the full "benefits" of a 180 stat, you need to have to fans kick on sooner...

My Eprom chip is tuned by Sinister to turn the fans on at 180 deg.I dont know about the series 2? you can install a sensor like this one to come on at any temp without the hassle of tuning your pcm.super easy to install and wont interfere with anything I think.1 fan runs for the AC,while the other fan runs the rad according to the FSM. Jegs also sells a single fan sensor too that you can program to run at 180deg http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS-Performance-Products/555/52126/10002/-1?parentProductId=1557724

| Thanks, Robo, but I plan on just setting the fan variable in the PCM once it's tune time. ISNT THAT RIGHT, SCOTT, MA MAN!? | |
