| Were you ever able to scan while the car was running to verify the MAF sensor was working correctly? I know it's late, but I still want to know what caused this problem. | Had the same problem on a car I was working on awhile back. I believe that it was a monte carlo and it was suffering the same problems you listed. I ended up changing the plugs and all be dipped in shit it took care of the problem. Did you ever end up replacing the plugs before you tore it down? | |

| changed plugs.
timing chain was fine. And I pulled the front head off no valves kissed any pistons. | |

| I read all 15 pages hoping for a happy ending. Maybe you should just get the engine rebuilt or buy a new one. 180k is about time for that anyway. | |
