Need some good outdoor shots, but I agree it would make a good candidate.

Nevermind out side shots, he could fill the whole calender with a build seris of shots!!.. wink

+1!!! It would be like... a project porn calendar!

Well the car needs a bath, but here you go. The hood had to be repainted. It will be on the car soon though.

The rear bumper is still loose. It will be aligned and tightened when the buffing is complete.

There are a couple angles here where it looks like a lip spoiler similar to those on 2nd gen Trans Ams would work. The 2nd pic kinda looks like it has one, it just needs to be more pronounced.

It'd also be neat to rework the grey plastic pieces on the side, and the rear bumper cover, so they drop down more towards the rear wheels. Give it more of that "ground effects" look.

But you've got to be happy with it the way it is!

..... 0_0 .... *gets out checkbook*......
did you actually do any work to the rear lip on the trunk? or is that just how it looks with the changes in the form of the new rear end?

cant rememer from the oldest post what u sayd but are you going to use it as daylidrive or just for shows?
The new paint looks very nice. If you going to use it as daylidrive then maybe you should but some 3M invicible protection sticker on the rear bumpers edges so the lil stones/sand flying from the rear tires wont harm the paint.

What a big difference the bumper makes, looks so much more muscular from the rear, and it definitely emphasizes the lip on the decklid. Excellent work guys, can't wait to see more! shocked

You're going to have a "one of a kind " riviera that's for sure. I admire the work you guys have put into that car and I would love to have one of those body kits. The mirrors really do it. Are you gonna do a rocker panel modification to go along with the rest of your changes?

Scott (sqrivi),
Would you be willing to do another set of mirrors if I sent you the shells.? I have the extra mirror shells already.
If so, how much would you have to charge.?
I would like to do that mod, but do not have the talent or patience for it. I would want to do it this summer as I have no place to work on the car in the winter and I'm going to have my doors apart this year for a sound system upgrade and some more weatherproofing.
Nothing near what your doing as far as sound goes.
Can't afford the bumpers but really would like the mirrors.
I'm working on finding the turn signal chevrons that go behind the heated mirror glass. That is so far looking doable.

Rickw,
I would be glad to take care of your mirrors, but let me run a couple of things by you first. I won't be able to paint them so you will have to take care of that when you get them back. Second I took a mirror from another car and cut up the light section, then cut up the rivi mirror and used epoxy and fiberglass to attach the two pieces together. My only concern is that sometimes fiberglass will let go of the plastic. I would feel more comfortable if we give mine a few months in the elements to see how they hold up, particularly since you live in MA. The climate there is a little more harsh than it is here in AL.

Scott,
First off I realize the whole thing is experimental to a degree and I completely expected to have my painter paint them here.
I just need your sourcing of the lights you used and your talent to cut and glass them in place and prep to some degree for paint.
Was absolutely not expecting a perfectly finished part.
If you would like to give it a little time for the glass to cure and see how things hold up that will be fine.
I was just trying to catch you before you got so involved in the rest of the project that you wouldn't have time.
I don't know how much time it actually took you, but I'd be willing to say if you have time now before you are in too deep with the rest of your project, I'm willing to accept the consequences of a possible crack here and there that I can fill and have painted again.
No big deal on the filling and painting side for me, sort of speak. I just have to pay my guy a little more. You know what i mean.
Let me know what you think before you get all buried in wires again.
Thanks,
Rick
