Mine doesn't compare to Jax95Riv but maybe with some new paint it'll come close.

1995 Riviera ... updated 11/23/2009 P2020010

A Burlewood Dash Kit dresses up the interior very well.

I like to keep 'em clean under the hood, am going to have to try some performance mods soon though!

sweet. i was going to try to paint the "Riviera" under the hood, but i couldnt find paint that would adhere to the foam well. was that on there factory? mine is just black.
oh and where did you find those brake/gas pedels? with the chrome overlay.
i didnt realize the silencer on the intake tube was that large on the 95's!!!

Mine was black too, I had to replace it when I broke a belt! I painted it with testors model car paint, silver I think, the small enamel bottles. I did it before I installed it and it was still a pain even with it being molded in the liner.
The pedals are stock, guess I never noticed that they are different than the ’99, GM must have only used them one year on this body style?!? They resemble the trim that was used on the pedals of the ’65 Riv though.
The silencer is big, I guess it just isn’t as noticeable on the Series II since it is turned down instead of sideways?

Forgot to say thanks for the "sweet"!

This one has just over 53,000 miles on it.

Beautiful 95! Is the wood trim kit really as dark as the pics look? MIne is much lighter than that, yours is the first I've seen in a different style than my 98 has.

The previous owner of mine also broke a belt and ripped up the hood insulation. I might replace it this summer, would love to try painting the Riv lettering too. Also, I don't think my 98 has the trim on the pedals.

Very well kept for a 95. Looks fantastic. I love the dark trim interior.

That was kept under cover for most of its life unless it was repainted, but I think the former for the interior looks damn-near new. Under the hood looks banging to. I got to get cleaning my motor. Jax, it much harder cleaning the motor on the '95s without that huge Series II cover making everything look so neat! Ha Ha

Thanks, they had a light and a dark burlewood available and I thought the dark would look best with the light interior and black paint. I got that kit because of the one piece for the dash, I had seen a few kits with the main two pieces on each side of the radio and the three strips across it, but I liked the one piece better.

I am the second owner, the first owner parked it wherever and it shows. I found out a few months after I got it that it had been acid rained on and then a poor paint job over that. I got it in mid '99, I kept it in one of those freestanding carports until I got my garage built in '03. After the acid rain, the poor paint job, and all the polishing I have done to it there isn't much of any finish left. Zaino Bros polish can do wonders, even for a poor paint finish. Up close though the bad paint shows, so it will get a new paint job before the Riviera Meet this summer in Asheville

Amen. Zaino kicks ass. Especially for black paint jobs. I wouldn't use anything else! It made my old paint job look good and the new paint look deep and wet...oops, sorry for the testimonial. razz

You do take great care of your vehicles Randall. You motivated me to clean my engine bay this weekend!

Zaino is good stuff, the '73 GS that won "Best of Show" at last years ROA meet is Black, not a swril mark on it and he had a Zaino bottle setting on it.
See it at:
http://www.rivowners.org/annualmeet/Eureka-Springs-05/pictures.html

Thanks for the compliments, I try to. They don't look too good right now, with the weather like it has been I haven't been very motivated myself.

How did your engine bay turn out Jack?

If you're really not happy with the appearance of your car, I'll swap ya! twisted

Like everyone else on your replies, I love the dash! Did you have it done in a shop or were you able to do it yourself? Is the supplier listed in the links section here?

I did it myself, everywhere there is wood, those pieces came out of the car. I know they say you can do it with them in the car but I wanted to make sure it all went in perfect! I'll have to look for the name of the place I got it.

You can go here to see what it looks like right now!

We looked at some options on another thread:
https://rivperformance.editboard.com/Other-Stuff-c3/Interior-f20/black-dash-kit-t260-0.htm
and Troy, NO 4 EVR decided that probably a wood kit would be the only thing for a blue interior, I think probably a lighter wood though?

It'll probably take me longer than 8 months to recuperate from what trying to get paint on my '95 has cost me so maybe I'll get you the next year. beer

Just thought I'd put a picture of the new paint job here in the showroom. This is what it turned out like after getting it all back together and Gwyn and I detailing it for several hours for the show at the ROA Meet.

It still needs a coat or two of polish but it turned out pretty good overall ... not too bad for years worth of work!

Man thats a nice clean/new looking riv, makes my 95 look like trash. Is that dash from sherwood simulated wood or the real wood. just asking b/c i recently took off the crapy BD dash kit and looking for a better fitting one and saw thiers and im thinking about getting the real wood dash with the walnut burl to kinda match my red interior so theres less contrast.
