My two bits on the coolant:  With unknown provenance I changed out my OE Dexcool for green the first year I had the car.  After finding a little evidence of coolant in a Blackstone oil-chemistry test I finally pulled the top of the motor and put the (at least then) hard-to-find aluminum gaskets in...  I've seen some MAJORLY pulled/deformed/broken gasket photos on here, but mine had juuuuuust enough pull-back on one or two ports to cause the chemical trigger.  Since then, and since the available products have changed, I've been using "all-purpose" yellow...  Of course, between coolant throttling valves, plastic elbows. and their o-rings, it seems that I'm always replacing part of the coolant load anyway.  rotf

I pretty much fell in love with it when I test drove it. I was trying really hard to keep my poker face. I'll have to try even harder tomorrow because I'll be laying down some cash.

I know what you mean...  I test-drove an Eldorado side-by-side with the Rivi, and except for a little bit of leg-room I changed my choice immediately! idea

I think I'm going to wait to switch back to Dexcool once I get some aluminum LIM gaskets. That way I'll be able to do the replacing in Auto Shop after I get acquainted with everything.

I'll definitely post up some pictures. I've got the money, 2 gallons of premium to get me to the gas station, and ~2 hours before I'll be in my Riviera.

I just scored myself a 1998 Buick Riviera for $1,000!

Now I just need to figure out where I should start. I can't open the driver door from the outside, and I can't move my seat forward or backwards, and that's really annoying. There's a black wire that looks like it goes into the seat adjuster that got ripped out.
