Just looking for opinions, I now own a 98 instead of my 95. The wife was idling for a moment before heading to work and the engine just shut off. Wouldn't restart (still hasnt) fuel pump is running, if you spin the motor and tap the gas a couple times you smell fuel. So figuring no spark. Ran torque on it and no codes. No Cel. Just refuses to fire. 175k on the motor. To me it screams CPS, open to other ideas.

Honestly, it occurred to me that sometimes icm goes with out doing the intermittent thing. So I pulled is sense easier than the CPS and went and had it tested. Got the new o e and test fired. Car had actually smoothed out some. Pretty sure it was partially behind the crap gas milage I have had past 3 weeks or so.

Hey Mike, when you have a moment look for an intermittent short or open in the multi-wire connector to the ICM. Wiggle the wires close to the connector to ascertain if any are broken inside the insulation. Either one would give you voltage spikes that the ICM would hate.
