Hopefully I will have better pix soon. Going to have it detailed on Friday (mostly engine bay so I can start posting pix of those) and am going to get familiar with the camera so I can post better pix. Trying night shots tonight and jsut found out how to stabilize the camera shot. Got to get ready for the calander! Thanks for the compliment.

I forgot to say - it does indeed look very nice - the Y section looks remarkably clean. I hope mine looks that good. The way the the pipes are situated in relation to the wheels looks very aggressive.

You know, that dosen't look half bad... It would have to bee crome instead of the aluminum look... and recessed a little more.

Yeah, it looks to Regal-ish. I personally prefer the stock grille design, but we all have our own tastes. smile

If my trunk is loaded, have 3 200# passengers , and I don't have the Ranchos on a stiffer setting, I get a little rub on the rears. With me and my two sons, some weight in the trunk, and a soft setting I have never had a problem. Fronts have never rubbed. I have flogged this car on some bumpy, back-country roads and have always been impressed with how the car handles. If I was using the car as a truck, I would probably use an air ride assist bags in the back to help out the rear springs.

PostSubject: New photos up!   Here is my ride...new mods in the work - Page 2 EmptyWed Jan 09, 2008 5:13 pm

Car is dirty but I wanted to get some photos up of the new wheels. I will paint the edges of the rotors so the rust does not show when Spring rolls around. These wheels are 13lbs lighter a piece than my last ones but I like the last ones more. It is a huge difference tho... 12" and 10.5" rotors look small in a 20" wheel as well! Let me know what you think. Big 3" lip too... I need to polish them.

Braking, acceleration, and handeling are all dramatically improved. Don't underestimate the effect of rolling mass. I lost 50+lbs and another wad of money and it is worth it! Still have the other wheels if I decide to take it to any car shows.

I believe it. Some think because the car is so heavy, that 50 lb doesn't matter because it's such a small percentage of the total. But unsprung weight is different. It's not only weight your car has to pull along, this is weight that fights against torque and braking. It's weight that increases rolling inertia. Even though they are bigger, the extra load on your trans is offset somewhat by the fact they are lighter.

I do think it looks a little more sinister, for lack of a better description, with the new wheels!
