[/img] why would I need a 98-99 harness when Im running a 97 pcm with a 96-97 harness? Ive seen the wiring diagrams for a 98+, and nothing is anything like the 97. Nothing would work right.

| you have to be able to change the actual gear ratio's in the pcm, tinytuner allows it for ours but i do not know if it'll work for you or youll just keep getting p0730 gear ratio error codes and ending up in the limp home mode | |

| well the 4t60e harness never had the pressure control solenoid wiring did you add the pin to the pcm connector and the wire?
the pcm has to be of the type that controls a 4t65e with its main line pressure control solenoid...that generally means 98+

| I've heard that's the only stock wheel that will clear the fbody callipers but still have different slicks available in a 16" wheel (27"x10"x16"). All other tires wont clear the calipers, not wide enough (8"+), or has a offset that would not work with the Riv. You could always go custom but that cost money... Can I ask you how much you paid for them because I am looking for 2. | |

there's a bit on it earlier in the thread
basics electrical
solid state NO relay for shift sol B reversal
97-99 80e trans (proper manifold pressure switch assmbly)
plumb in a press switch in the TCC relief passage or completly disable tcc in pcm file (as we have done-the junk trans will help me determine the tcc pressure switch workaround as the 80e doesnt have it and the 65e pcm is looking for it)
switch two terminals in the 65e pcm harness plug, also tap 80e second poer wire into the 65e connectors single 12v supply, leave tcc switch wire cut and left ungrounded.
can you elaborate on this. How do you disable TCC in the pcm file? What 2 terminals in the 65e PCM plug do you change? also, on your range switch, why did you not use one off a 4t80 or why didn't your turn the 65e range switch 180 degrees so it would clear the 4t80 "lip"?

also, on your range switch, why did you not use one off a 4t80 or why didn't your turn the 65e range switch 180 degrees so it would clear the 4t80 "lip"? tcc settings set to engage at 255mph esentially there's a ground and another that are located differently. if you turn the 653hd 180" you better be using a custom made turbo crossover mounted 2-3inches higher cause on a set of pacesetter headers they physically occupy the same space, this is why the 80e "flipped" RS doesnt work, the N* had the Xover under the engine. btw im bumping this cause it runs again and eric's actually doing body work he finally touched it again and with the WB we've been able to get it to run properly though only in open loop...not having a bbv and a 2.3L whipple with a massive overlap is4 cam means she likes to idle between 17 and 19to1 afr no wonder it hated the narrowband lol it now also has a meziere IC pump to replace that shitty temporary flojet. new 3" 36 oalx6in magnaflow muffler installed as a resonator to quiet it down (boy did it!) runs goooood...lets see how well it turns out SOON................. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T8uq8PVTJcE

its really easy to weld em solid though...

they sanded and painted/cleared over the tape fortunately it's black, paint shop can fix with the paints (base/clear) that they already used, and an airbrush. Will take some time and small heat (or UV dep on paint system) lamp maybe. Point is it's not a big job, done right no one will ever know except maybe you. Albertj

| well youll never guess what has been running and now has a new sc tensioner and blower belt....
went to the junkyard yesterday and snagged some less than mangled wheel opening trim, most everything is assembled but he still has a few extra things to finish now that we have acquired/replaced all the broken clips/etc
we've been fighting odd voltage/charging issues for a while now...well we found it battery to block ground path is fucked. we added jumper cables from batt to the engine bay and the ground side arcs like mad when cranking and voltage drop was nearly zero. so eric picked up 30ft of 2 ga and terminals and much like the fuel lines/system he's punching holes through and running the cables direct from the batt to the starter/block we will then daisy chain power from the starter to the alternator then to the power block (jumpstart box on rf inner fender) keeping the factory wiring mostly intact since the primary issue is the through the chassis ground path. makes sense as the car did go through several winters and the issue has been slowly getting worse over time.
something for you guys to look into if you are seeing odd issues.
aside from finishing a few things and finding yet another thing to fix its been washed off and the last of the small stuff is getting assembled.
sounded nice hearing it run with the whipple
was even nicer see'n him work on it again lol
sorry no pics, my dumbass forgot the camera
