Pretty recently, I've been hearing these annoying squeeky noises comming from I'm not sure where. But I hear it all the time when I hit bumps and such and I hear it really good just when I close the door. I'ts like a shaky squeek and It really bothers me because I have rims and stuff now so I look like I'm not keeping up on stuff and I make fun of people who do that all the time lol

I have a noise coming from the dash. I have taken the dash apart to try and fix it, but I haven't found the trouble spot.

Hey Codith, it my be the push pins are getting loose that attach the front panel of the dash. You know, like when you remove the stereo, you pull all the fasteners that run across the top of the dash...I replaced those with new fasteners and that took care of my squeek. It drove me crazy till I found it. Try LIGHTLY applying pressure where each of the fasteners attach and see if you can get it to stop.
I HATE RATTLES! Best o' luck.

I'm 80% sure its coming from outside the car or somewhere like the doors/hinges. I'm going to try lubing the hinges again

I had squeaks that sounded like they were coming from all around. When I had the shocks and struts replaced, they went away.

Once I heard a squeak that only when away when I applied the break. Turned out to be a broken lug on the left front wheel.

PostSubject: the squeeking mystery solved   squeeky noises EmptyTue Aug 28, 2007 1:07 pm

The squeaking that I suspected the chassis parts or doors to be making turned out to be the exhaust. I was just under there inspecting my cat / resonator area and saw that there was a rubber hanger deal just chillin there broken and I went to push on the back of the resonator where it is to see if it's movin all stupid and it made the noise. It makes sense cause It would sometimes make the noise and sometimes not - heat vs cold etc.

So anyways that noise really grinds my gears so you can expect me to be doing the exhaust DP back in the nearish future. The cat and resonator will most likely be eliminated altogether and replaced with 3" pipe if I can figure out how to deal with that stupid bend twords the rear of the car.
