| you should read it with the engine running and vacuum gauge disconnected from the fuel pressure regulator. At 30 psi it should have enough fuel to start, I wouldn't count it as low fuel pressure unless you are at operating voltage (engine running). | |

| I had the same problem, not enough fuel pressure. After I changed the fuel filter and still had the same problem, I added a hp pump and it took care of it. I will check with my source to see if you can use the same pump. It is made for a GTP and requires a little modification. | |

| You will want a little more umph if you plan on modding... I also went with a hd wiring harness which was easier to install than the pump. | |

| Racetronix is the manufacturer. I believe my source got it from Intense but I will check. Let me see if it will work for series I before you get anything. I'll do it in the morning. | |

| According to the FSM pressure should be tested w/o the motor running. Like others mention though..I've seen reasonable pressure not running and poor pressure running, especially at wot.
I replaced with a TRE pump and have been thrilled with the performance. Look for higher flow as well as higher pressure. | |

| You need to find out if the fp canaster is the same on yours as it is on the later models. The SII might have a higher flow fp than the SI but the canaster should be the same. You can probably get part numbers from the dealership. If it is the Racetronix pump will work. | |

| You might want to replace the in-tank fuel pump. If you have a little time on your hands get the rebuild kit from an ACDelco pars dealer - the replacements are pricey (I've seen $400) but the metal jacket pump itself is less than 1/4 that, around $40 or $60 IIRC.

| His site was down last night.. probably cause he found out I told another Riv owner about him. He is die hard GTP but somehow I get him to work on my car. He swears each time he sees my car he will not touch another Riv again. He's learning tho... 317-537-4004 | |
