A stock Vette is another example of a car that can trounce a 318i in almost every way. But not the Ford GT, which lapped Nürburgring faster than the Porsche GT3, Corvette C6 ZO6, Pagani Zonda, Porsche GT2, Lambo Gallardo & Murcielago, Ferrari 599, BMW M3 CSL, Porsche 911, and the new Nissan GT-R. Yeah, that 10-year-old Ford GT really sucks...

If you think bass quality means nothing, that's fine. Put importance on whatever you think is important. Bass is important, because without it, the music is lifeless and incomplete. If I found a $35K speaker with no treble response above 10kHz, you would probably defend its ability to play midrange. That's fine, too. Go ahead and fool yourself. If I'm paying $35k (I wouldn't) I want a speaker that can play the entire musical spectrum, and it better be damn perfect!
