Keeps the Mystery Empty
PostSubject: Keeps the Mystery   Keeps the Mystery EmptyWed Feb 14, 2007 5:54 pm

After my car was debadged I thought it needed something. So I found an awesome raised plastic emblem I snagged off of a product in a store and hid till I got to my car. Cleaned the area and carefully applied it. Perfect. I was only going to keep it on as a farse. I wanted my family and neighbors to call me on it. Well we all agreed it was cool so I left it. It almost keeps the mystery of the car for those who don't know it.

Keeps the Mystery 2390485_46_full

It can always come off but I've grown attatched to it. Can anyone guess what product I took it from? It's the most unlikely place.

As far as my exterior 'mods' go, it's just the paint and the new emblem.

The old guy I see sometimes at the gas station can't take his eyes off of my car. And this little addition even keeps him guessing...special edition?! happy

LOL lol You can see where I rubbed the Aria

I love my car, in the dead of winter, specially in the snow my spring green brings you back to warmer times, like Frangelico rotf

I had the same feeling when I was going to college and I saw a custom neon green Del Sol go by. Hints of spring. Those groundhogs can kiss my ars thumbsup

You like my license plate, Photoshop. I was feelin' creative :grimace:

Your green Riv may look like spring, but a green Del Sol looks like a booger. :grimace:

your all going to laugh. I was with my suster at Target and she was shopping for a baby stroller. Me being borred was just checking out how many were actually name brand. Then I saw it, a label that was perfect but looked like I could easily snatch it.

Yes, the Aria emblem came from a baby stroller lol If your ever in Target, check it out. I knew Aria also has something to do with music so I thought it would work perfectly

Aria makes guitars, but their logo doesn't look like that.

Keeps the Mystery Empty
PostSubject: Re: Keeps the Mystery   Keeps the Mystery EmptyFri Feb 16, 2007 11:37 am

wow, that's crazy

my first impression was of the music kind

"Term for a song either independent or part of a larger work. The Italian word may be rendered as 'style' or 'manner', and in the 16th century 'aria' was used for simple settings of light poetry (e.g. 'aria napoletana'). Arias as melodies or schemes for songs were printed during much of the 16th century and well into the 17th in instrumental as well as vocal publications." ask.com

I learned all those kind of terms in high school.

I'd be honored if Aria Giovanni would christen my car for a maiden voyage yay

Keeps the Mystery Empty
PostSubject: Re: Keeps the Mystery   Keeps the Mystery EmptySat Feb 17, 2007 1:59 pm

Don't worry I'll carry that guilt for the rest of my life :silent: lol

Today made it all worth while. I went to fuel up at my favorite gas station, really cheap $2.14. Well the usual guy was really busy so he enlisted his son to help out, kid must be like 14 or 15, young.

So it's my turn, the guy sets it up and I wait. Then I hear the kid come up to his dad and say, "Hey dad, what brand is that? I don't recognise the emblem."

"I think its a Buick", the dad replies. "Not sure which model"

"I think the model is an "air-ee-ah", inside I'm smiling at their interest and his mispronounciation of the word Aria. Yeah need to say it as if it were pleasurable, ahh-ree-ahh rotf

I love it though. The only thing that ruined the moment was the salt all over it and the fact that I now have to get out and litterally put the cover back on. I have to remove it prior, the button works but the cover is kinda busted on the inside, rusty and misshapen care of my grandpa who tried to fix it with me oops . Looks fine when it's on. wink
